Is reddit upvotes and comments good to use?

I am starting a social media campaign and I'm wondering if Reddit upvotes and comments will help my affiliate program rank high?

Reddit is tough to crack, if what you post offers no genuine value it will get deleted always. Especially anything seen as being spam.

Yeah I've had some past experience with using Reddit to get traffic but to be honest, it really is not that good. The traffic is just useless unless you go deep inside the subreddits and find a suitable niche to go into. The Reddit crowd aren't usually spenders so bear that in mind.

I've had good success with funny images with Reddit because the traffic is usually really high and they share a lot as well as engage more often. It's just not that profitable for affiliate marketing or selling in general.

Try PPC ads or SEO.

If you find the right niche you can guide Reddit users to sign up for your newsletter and/or email campaigns. Personally, I have monetized Reddit in the movie/tv niche before. But compared to other networks I was using, it didn't perform as well.

I think that there are spenders in any crowd, and if your article is really good and you get thousands of visitors (your link goes viral) I am sure you will get inquires (if that's what you are after)

Reddit's really good to raise brand awareness. See all the complaints at www.reddit.com/r/hailcorporate of disguised marketing posts. They're not selling directly, but generating buzz about some product or idea. I'm sure this can be done for websites as well, but it's definitely not the direct traffic that converts cuz I've hit a few homeruns on Reddit in the past 6 years and the conversions were shit.

Create article which compares rather than selling directly and share it on Reddit. This will stick better.
