Hi Everyone!

I've been lurking the forums for a good 6 months now and have learnt a huge amount about IM from this community. It's time for me to give back and that is exactly what this journey thread is going to be used for, helping others out by providing updates and answering as many questions as I can.

Shoutout to JustChillin for the inspiration for documenting this journey.

The Game Plan

I have been running this plan for about 3 months now...

Use an army of accounts, all of which are in the same niche, to promote 1 authority account containing a link to my website.

The website will contain affiliate products to begin with but I would like to eventually develop my own range of products to be sold.

Each of my army accounts will give people the opportunity to submit their own pictures and I will use this to capture their email address.

I will also be using content lockers on my website from OgMobi. The earnings made from this will be reinvested into shoutouts and help pay for monthly hosting + proxies.

Actions so far

- Purchased Follow Liker Instagram Bot (Unlimited Account License).
- Purchased 10 Private Proxies from Squid Proxies.
- Purchased Domain + WordPress Hosting from Godaddy for each account (was a little pricey but with all the banning that has been happening, I wanted to keep it safe and purchase 1 site per account).
- Created 15 Instagram accounts.

Stats so far

The good thing about the army accounts is that they still have the ability to become authority accounts once they grow large enough. I also haven't started cross promoting yet so some of my army accounts are actually larger than my authority account at the moment.

Army Accounts (14 in total): 142,123 followers.
Authority Account: 8244

Emails: 3681

Earnings: $221.97

My Niche

I hope you can respect my decision not to reveal this. I may in the future, but for now I would like to keep it secret. For those that are skimming threads trying to come up with a niche, I suggest you focus on something that you have a large interest in/are passionate about.

It's recommended that you sign up on to a lot of different CPA networks. It allows to compare through multiple networks plus you can find the best fit offer for whatever you're promoting.

Army Accounts (14 in total): 158,632 followers (+7,782)
Authority Account: 8698 (+454)


Emails: 3863 (+182)


Earnings: $229.39 (+$7.42)

Notes:
I have noticed that the accounts that have reached 10k+ are getting a much higher follow back ratio. The engagement on the accounts varies(multiple with 10%+. Others are sitting as low as 4.5-5%)

I'm really happy with the amount of emails I'm obtaining and have signed up with Aweber to set up an auto responder.

Notes: I have contacted a few pages in the same niche about shoutout pricing and have had some offers come back. I am going to follow up to 7500 and unfollow back down to near 0 (not exactly 0) before buying some shoutouts.

Does anybody have any tips on cross promoting accounts? What have you had success with (e.g. what types of caption, picture etc).

I use "Contact Form Builder" but you can pretty much use whatever contact plugin you want. You just need to have a field for email and a field for image upload...

Notes:
Signed up to a couple of affiliate programs and will being adding their products to my online store in the coming week. One of the programs pays a nice 20% and has some really nice products on offer.

I have a couple of monetization methods planned for the future (CPA, Shoutouts, Sponsored Posts, Affiliate Store).

Update:

Notes:
The increase in followers will start to drop now as I start unfollowing on accounts.

I am going to spend some time this weekend getting into contact with online sites in my niche. I'm hoping they will be interested in doing some sponsored posts on my pages (ie. I post their products and they pay me a fixed fee).

My problem is, I have on idea what to charge. My largest account is just over 15k but since they are all in the same niche, I have the ability to post one product to all of them. I am thinking $5 per 10k which works out at about 50c per 1000 followers.

What do you guys think? (I understand it's hard to answer without knowing the niche but if you could share similar experiences then please share)
