Guides for beginners to start IM/Affiliate?

Hi,

I have been a lurker for a whiile and I have some questions regarding the amount of "good" valid information that we have in BHW.
Most of the stuff good stuff is a sticky post, that's just common forum sense. But when the posts are from 2008 and around, it's very outdated, many new IMers write stuff like, "wowwww good info, is it still valid?" "hey is this still fresh to use?" NO it's not. It is a good way to start lurking but there will be dead ends.

If a new IM'er wants to start doing business, and don't know how, where does he or she starts getting valid information?

Most of the old sticky posts is not up to date. If you for example are trying to find a niche, and then want to focus on keywords - the pages that are mentioned usualy costs 29-99$/mo which is not possible for someone that want's to start and does not want to invest top $$$.

I understand that we keep our information to ourselfs. But someone like me, for example that wants to start out. How the heck? If I google "keyword tracker" I will end up to some IM'er blog that wants to make a buck.

Where do I find the free beginners tools? Does it exist?

Decide who your target market is and what problem they have, get in front of them( where do they go?) offer them your solution.

If you decide that you want to do weight loss then you might say " I'm targeting woman 25-35 who want to lose weight, they are active on x,y,z forums/websites I can do x,y,z to target them( facebook ads, ppc, forum posting, blog with trying to rank keywords in mind- go to google key word planner its free, banner display on websites that are relevant, guest posting to people who already have the audience) and I will offer them a solution which is ... ( land them to your website and collect their email and then show them the soloution)

this is all you really need to be honest, facebook ads is great because you serve ads to demographics that you need. if you really need information you will have to read across and the web and pick from the crap that is out there as a lot of those "tools" are no longer relevant.

There hasn't been a large tool release on BHW or other sites for a reason.

If you can't invest in IM then maybe IM is not done for you. Work your ass in a 9 to 5, save some money and come back when you're ready to make money.

sorry to break your heart but it is a trial and error thing. The more you know what does not works the more you will succeed and for that you will need money to invest.

On the other hand you can do it without $$ just makes things harder and people would quit when they don't become millionaires after two days.

Hello,

First of all BHW is not a spoonfeed market for any IM. So if you just to be spoonfed that I guess this forum is not for you. BHW is a platform where IM is innovated. IMr's study/research and maix their own idea to bring out a new one which is Epic!

In regards to your question regarding the posts. Please know, those post were the top earners of their time and all/many IMr's have used those techniques to build their own journey along with their own ideas.

For someone like you who wanna start out, it is recommended that you go through the forum, read the post thoroughly and try to evolve your own idea with the ones you read. Try them and keep innovating!

Hi,

You can track up-to 300 keywords using SERPLab.co.uk for free. There are tons of threads on this forum that will help you start making some bucks. Most methods aren't actually outdated, just over-saturated as people have done the same thing over and over again so it is tougher to make as much as others have done before.

If you want to start doing affiliate, you need to understand what you want to do. SEO, Social media traffic or PPC? As it seems like you got no money to invest and you search for rank trackers, so you seem to want to do SEO. My suggestion to you is to pick a hobby that you're interested in, so that you easily can write content yourself for the site.

Sure, the first site might not be a big hit in terms of money but you'll get a brief overview of what this is and how to do it. I've found this keyword research guide that seems to go over it pretty good, check it out! (It's a thread on BHW, not some crappy SEO guru, lol)

What I've found is that journeys are usually the ones with the most information. So follow journeys that do what you do. There are a few active Amazon journeys (mine, for example) and a few CB journeys as well. What got me really started was WhitePassions Amazon journey, his thread was filled with a lot of people sharing their number of sales and earnings almost daily and it motivated me a lot.

As others have said, trial and error. That's what it is all about.

I really can't see why it is so hard to find info here.

Use search queries with operator in google

For e.g: "keyword research" site:blackhatworld.com
Then go to search tool, change from anytime to past year.

Can't be any easier can it?

I agree as well. Back then, you didn't have as much info as we do now.

So there were many times where I did a method without any proof of concept. So I was basically doing IM with a blind eye sort of speak.

@OP, just because someone is selling something on a blog doesn't mean you have to buy it. There are many blogs out there that has helped me with my IM journey.

Over the years, I've learned that the faster you fail, the faster you become successful at something.
