What is the Twitter follower limit now?

I hear Twitter recently updated the limit on number of followers you can have in your account per day.

What's the limit now?

Anyone going over it?

If so, what happens?

There is no limit on the amount of people that can follow you..

There is however a limit on the number of following actions that you can perform daily which is 1k.

The only way to get around it is E.G. Request for permission if your a developer.

Or

Just make many 1k accounts and build them up slowly but surely.. Cheers!

I am a bit confused about the 1K following per day.

Does it mean that each day you can follow an ADDITIONAL 1K people?
By that it would seem that on day n, you could have n thousand people that you are following, is that legit?

Another twist to the 1K people is this scenario and I wonder what the answer is: Let's say you follow 1,000 people on first day, then unfollow x number of them sometime later in the day. Can you then follow up to another x still later in the day, so that the final number of people you follow is 1,000 on day #1, and still be legit?

You can follow as many as you want every day, however, after much experimenting and having numerous accts. suspended, it is my opinion that these patterns should be observed:

1) new accts (below 2000 followers): follow no more than 300 a day max.
2) after that, follow the 10% rule..(2000 followers = 2200 following)
3) give people at least 2 days before unfollowing them
4) DO NOT mass unfollow people not following back
5) unfollow ONLY non-followers (see #3)

Also if you are using a program to add friends. There is also twitter API limits that need to be observed. Where creating friendships doesnt add to the API limit. Searching for those friends does. I think its about 100 calls per hour or so. However I think its just however twitter is feeling at the time.

i don't think so, there's an 1.000 following_me limit/day and you cannot goin over it unless you're a developer and whitelisted...

you cannot follow more than 1.000 people/day total, so if you once reach the limit and you unfollow for example 200 people you cannot follow 200 new people until the next day

11.15: you follow 400 people at once
15.45: you follow another 600 people at once (you reach the 1.000 follower/day limit)
you have to wait until day#2 11.15 if you want to follow another 400 people
day#2
11.15: you are able to follow another 400 people
15.45: you are able to follow another 600 people (you reach the limit again)
so you have to wait until day#3 11.15 if you want to follow another 400 people and so on...


i've started twitterin about 1 month ago with 3 account created with the same ip...i think but im not sure , i follow as much people as i can, aggressive follow unfollow tactic, day by day i unfollow everybody (few hundreds of peoople) who don't follow me back, tweet a bit but not spammin anything and one of my account get banned (moosey go along...) after cc. 1,5 week and the other 2 are still alive (10k+ & 7k+ followers)
