How many keywords you target from each articles?

What is the maximum amount of keywords you are targeting from each articles ? Some one told me i should never target more then 5 keywords from each article . Asked why, he said- its just doesn't work. Google doesn't like it. doesn't make sense at all to me.

I hope someone will clarify this. Let me know if there is anything google doesn't like if you are targetting number of keywords in each articles.

Dont target keywords in your writing. Google is going authority mad. Create authority content on your topic, and you will rank better. Think about the problem you are solving with the article. Google are moving more towards semantic search, and they are putting less weight on 'keywords' per se

Just write on your topic, but include different variations of the keywords in. There is no limit. One oage could rank for hundreds of keywords

If you look at what is dominating the serps nowadays, you will see loooong articles covering many different sub topics.

Instead of having 5 articles (when do, how do, how much etc etc) they just have one article, but pack it with as much information as possible. Thats what Google likes, in my opinion.

Pick a keyword and write ABOUT it - and potentially the keyword will be used.

Never "stuff" a keyword(s) into your content.

Just create long and valuable content - Google loves it.

The rest will fall into place. You can manipulate keyword usage elsewhere....

But never force it into your content.

I understand that keyword targetting is great. But i normally just target one main keyword and try adding long tail keywords like it's normal. But normally, i target ONLY one keyword.

I just target one kw per article. It's not because of the G it's just easier to create content and target your link campaign this way. And it will also spread the risk (one page penalized, other pages still ranking etc.). If your content is good enough, other long tails will unintentionally rank too.

I only target one keyword and then after that I write for the reader.

Other related keywords will automatically be included as I'm writing on the topic, but I don't specifically go looking for a certain number of secondary keywords to include.

There is no "magic" number. As long as it seems like a very valuable and information rich content and it's natural you don't have to worry about anything.

Target 1 main keyword when writing the articles. Use 1-3 side keywords. Just don't make useless, short content. That's my way of thinking.

Targeting one KW per article would be good.

And include some long tail keywords to make the article looks natural to the Google.

OP you can target more then 1 main KW in one article but usually people are using one main KW and 4-7 LSIs.
There are not any clear guidlines about this, its still a IM, nothing is clearly defined. it easy for me to say test it out but really stick with one mayor KW and use 4-7 LSI KW in the article.

It is best to use one keyword per article and some more related keywords. For example if the main keyword is garcinia cambogia you can use weight lose as supporting keyword.

You can target as many keywords as long as the flow of content is natural. Also you want the keywords to at least be in the same or similar niche. If you're targeting keywords that are distinctly different then you'll want to have that on a different article if possible. In the end, when you're ranking keywords, you should be able to rank for your main keywords as well as hundreds or even thousands of other long tails.

Yes, you'll need to get links to the page. Just focus on authority links (PBN, Guest Post, Buying links). Check the sites for Page Authority, Domain Authority, Trust Flow, Citation Flow.

We usually target only one main keyword and use 4 - 5 LSI keywords in our articles. It works better mate...
