Female Seducers on Skype Blackmail Males for Cash
Online wooing can easily lead to money spilling
Microsoft?s online communication network is the playground of many scammers, including females that woo male users into undressing in front of the camera and blackmailing with public sharing of the compromising stances.
The operation is conducted by attractive women who call Skype users whose profiles indicate a male and after sweet talking the victim into showing body parts that are generally revealed in more intimate situations, ask for money to be wired to them.
The blackmail is real, as they record the entire video chat session and facing such evidence, most victims are likely to succumb to the demand, especially when threatened to post the video or images in public online locations, such as YouTube, where the whole world can see them free of clothes and all inhibition.
The worst part is that the blackmail may not stop at the first payment and victims may be contacted for more cash at a later time.
Online Threat Alerts says that the money transfer is demanded to be made via Western Union, so that the funds cannot be traced to the person picking it up.
Users are advised to be careful when receiving video calls from attractive persons and not engage in activities that may compromise them. Software recording chat sessions is not visible to the individual at the other end of the connection and not talking or trusting strangers applies in the virtual world as much as in the physical one.
If attractive persons do not try to pick you up in the real world, it is unlikely to happen otherwise online.
