Expired PR6 Domain

New to this, I can get a real estate PR6 domain cheap from a company, will this help?? Don't want to use the actual name just the PR ??

Check the backlink profile and if possible check the DA, TF etc. to get an idea. A high PR domain might help at times if you know how to use it. In fact, I have a PR 5 expired domain which I purchased a few months back and is lying unused. I took it to experiment some stuff and will do so when I have some time.

But from a completely non-experimental perspective, PR is not that valuable anymore and quality backlinks are a lot more relevant now.

See if someone register it before you on archive.org see if it have some Nike Air pages or something

A good genuine PR6 domain will never be cheap. Make sure the backlinks profile you saw justify the PR or it might be a waste. To build a long term site/business, I will pick a good name for branding rather than the "rankability". I can just work on rankings from the ground up. But a bad name you don't feel good about might ruin everything.

As others have said be sure to check the other stats of the domain to make sure that something hasn't happened to the domain in the time between the last PR update (2013) and today. Bad things could be excessive link spam.

Check if the site is still indexed in Google, if it is then it hasn't been banned at least which is usually a good sign initially.

importantly check for the type of backlinks, if you see authority sources or contextual domains linking in minus any spam links go for it!

Check the other metrics like DA PA CF and TF also check the backlink profile if the are good then you can proceed with that no problem...
