My Journey to 50k*2

Hi everyone!

This is my first time posting in this community, I'v been reading some threads in this section and got myself motivated to start my own Journey into growing an account and sharing my experience while doing so.

I'm growing two accounts at this time, one of them is my personal account, like 4 years old, since I'm a musician and a "in-training" tattoo artist from Venezuela, this is basicaly an Art account, tattos, drawings, music and all kind of related stuff, the goal with this one is to promote my art, focused in a spanish speaking/latin american target, and of course, make an extra profit from it if possible.
The second one is a 2 months old account, picked the puppies niche, basically aiming to get some incomes from it late on, to purchase a bot.

I'm doing all this manually because in my country we don't have access to $USD freely like it should be, so I can't invest in a bot at this time.

What I'v got so far

By this time my current numbers are the following:

Account #1: Art
Followers 450 to 9056 in 3 and half weeks

Account #2: Puppies
Followers 122 to 4275 in 2 weeks

How am I growing my accounts?

Basically finding an already stablished account in the same niche and following their 60 most recent followers, redoing this operation every 20 mins, I'v already tried doing at 10mins and 15mins delay, but got me having a 6hours following block at the end of the day, so I went down to 20/25 mins, working ok for about 3 or 4 days without temporal ban.
Also from my short experience I got the following numbers:

1. By just following 60 users I got 15 - 20 of them following back in average
2. By following 60 users and like 1-3 of their post I got about 25 of them following back
3. By following 60 users and like 1-3 of their post and leaving a comment I got about 35-40 of them following back, however this last is more risky since I have too much activity going thru my account , and of course more time-consuming.

I took the "just follow" way, since I have some other stuff in my life to cover up, and when I have some free time I do some likes & comments to increase my ratio, doing so I can reach the 400-500 new followers a day, reaching 7.5k following then I unfollow all in like 2 or 3 days and a day to rest of the IG, also, in the way to 7.5k follows I get 20 to 60 random followers overnight wich I followed during the day or past days.

My goal is to reach 50k or a better numer by November/December on each account, I think by this time I'm doing pretty good, I would like to hear some of your experience doing Your IG Journey, and some info about make money of it, some question for You:

1. How much are Your earnings with a 50k account and whats your engagement with it?
2. How much a 50k account with a 5%+ engagement is worth? knowing the niches I'm working ATM
3. Would be a good idea to bot my way beyond the 50k base?
4. Is the snowball effect I keep hearing of, coming before or after 50k followers? ( I know it envolves a bunch of factors like content, frequency, followers, niche, etc... just want to hear your experience )

I have an account around the same number of followers in the fitness niche but earning more like 700-800 followers a day, I think I'm much more aggressive in my following. With S4S and being bigger I think shooting for 100K in December is reasonnable.

Yeah, I'm taking easy in the following, I could reach 700-800 too but that would keep locked at IG App all day lol, I'm happy with the numbers ATM, maybe the follow back ratio will increase as my total followers goes up.

BTW I'm using Instagram + Instwogram to manage two accounts

I took the weeked to unfollow on both accounts, so I'll start fresh again tomorrow!

I tried finding accounts in the niche and following their followers, but didn't have any success.

Nice work testing different approaches. With that kind of mindset you'll get to 50k way before December

Try to get some followers by following the users in F4F, like4Follow, & Follow4Follow hashtags, just to increase your numbers to 500+ to get you in the move, you most likely will lose em after you unfollow, but you should be fine by that time, and of course, good quality posts.

some of the most recent followers of a 1m+ account are fake/ghost users, so, you could try following the users that liked the most recent post instead.

Hi David, I manage the account of a luxury brand in Geneva with 19k followers. I also have a lifestyle account that direct to the brand (with really high quality pictures, because I'm also a designer and photographer) so the posts are carefuly hand selected, not reposted from other accounts. I struggle a bit to make this account evolve. I tried following the newest people from other niche accounts, I tried following the followers of the brand account, tried liking based on hashtags, tried the F4F etc... got about 192 followers (from 0) in 2 days which isn't bad, but I want to pass 1k this week. Do you have any tips for getting past the 500 and 1000 bar? Because I want to keep a ratio of 1 follower per 1 following

What I meant is that I try to have my number of following equal or lower than my number of followers. So it doesn't look like I follow 2000 people but I only have 200 followers

I think this sounds very promising. I have a few questions:

After testing your three approaches (follow/follow+like/follow+like+comment), which do you now use?
I get that you get more follow-backs with commenting as well but it's also a numbers game. Is the extra time of commenting worth it?
Or are you getting more followers if you just follow+like as that is much faster? How do you choose if you like 1 or 3 pics each time?

And inn what range is your following? I mean on average do you follow between 100-300, 500-1000, 1000-1500 or even more users?

My advise is to lower down your Follow...1500 is way way way too much....
