I found a nice fashion niche that I would like to blog about. It is about a specific brand, is that something that I can explore? Like an unofficial fan club/info type of blog? What kind of disclaimers would I need to add?

No, you cannot use that niche as I have just claimed ownership over it. ;)

I would imagine that the same rules that car forums (forums dedicated to a specific car brand) have to follow apply to your niche. You should be fine as long as you don't claim to be affiliated with the brand or mislead your visitors using cybersquatted domains (or other dubious tactics).

Just make sure that content is not misleading otherwise that company can sue you :D

Use it :) and earn money,if something happens then give the money who claims

Thank you! I couldn't find too much info about it online. I made a big about us and claimed it as an "unofficial fan site." I mostly going to talk about things like "this is a _______" and it can be worn to the mall. Isn't it cute? and then maybe some facts similar to Wikipedia. Maybe follow a celeb news site and point out when people are wearing the ______. No affiliate links, just adsense and a few back links to my fashion blog.

If you're gonna do what you said here, then it will be all fine. There won't be any issues i guess.

The problem will come only if you try to write a misleading article.

Absolutely.

Just don't claim to be something you aren't and create valuable - fan friendly content.

But HOW you make money off of this has a lot to do with it as well.

Yes, I have done the same before.

Just mention that you are not affiliated with them!

It's going to be 100% Adsense. I have 2 other general fashion blogs that are Amazon affiliates, so I can put my links in relevant articles. Might not be too profitable, but I think it will be fun. :)

Sounds fine. Lots of good advice here already. I'll just add that if you plan to buy a domain about the brand, then don't have the brand within your domain.

Sounds fine as long as you don't give out the impression that you are anyway associated with the brand.

depends. Just don't use a brand, trademark, or copyright in your domain. I would also add a legal banner at bottom saying you are not affiliated with.

Don't worry about it. Just don't claim to be the company owned blog.

Nobody owns the internet, you can have blog about whatever you want.
