More Ajax Possible?

I noticed what might have been ajax pagination on the Recent Activity page before that link disappeared on me. I would say use ajax features wherever possible, especially if it can provide a auto-updating recent activity and/or new posts stream with a reasonable refresh delay as to not bog down the server. The CDN cache may be able to alleviate that stress anyway.

We have these built in, I'd be concerned if a page disappears on you. Can you be more specific / provide the "recent activity page" url I assume you're talking about this http://dotcom-test.nh-serv.co.uk/find-new/94/posts ?

When I first signed up there was a "Recent Activity" link rather than the new posts page that showed things like actions I had made (changed my avatar), new posts, whenever someone liked a post, whenever someone attached something to a post. Then it was replaced by the new posts link and I haven't seen it since. It appeared to have an ajax "Show more" pagination button at the bottom rather than 1,2,3 which worked and loaded more content down the page when I clicked it.

That's there but that's a different thing. Can you filter what shows in the recent activity page? It's kinda cool. It would be nice to have at least your notifications and whatnot ajax (As in that addon I linked) and at least one page like the new posts page that auto updates as well. I'll check now if that recent activity page auto updates but if not and it's possible by some other means (Probably is) it would be nice. Like a page called "Live Posts," "Live Updates," or similar.

Edit: Recent activity page doesn't auto update but does have the ajax pagination. I'm sure there's a way to make such a page if it's an idea you like.
