What is the best resolution for instagram?

Hi

I have opned new account in the car niche. I want to download photos but the crop chop most of the photo. what is the best resolution I can download for instagram so I would lose less of the photo?

anything in excess of 640x640 but there have been reports that they are doubling the resolution of images. safest in this case would be at least 1300x1300

640px by 640px is the favoured resolution for Instagram but you can have anything above that, try saving the images as a .PNG file as well as some companies compress .jpeg files to save space which puts the quality down but .png's are never usually compressed.

again, anything in excess of 640. you mostly will need to check that the height of the photo is above 640 pixels since this is a major factor in cropping photos most of the time. if you have anything above that, you won't have those lines

Actually, 640 is too small. A few days ago they updated the minimum to 1080x1080 in ninja mode.
Try uploading some HQ pictures and you will see the difference in PC.

For future expansion go with 1080 x 1080.
