Replica sold on eBay...second thoughts?

Hello and good afternoon everyone. I have a tight situation I'm in;

Sold an electronic on eBay that is replica (I know, I know), but I listed it as seller refurbished and the price was significantly less than retail and other competitors. I made sure the items work perfectly and all the accessories are accounted for.

Now here's the issue. Though I BELIEVE (keyword, BELIEVE) everything appears to be good, I don't want this to backfire on me in any way. I have not been sent a counterfeit violation from eBay and the item was generically listed.

My account is beyond the PayPal hold mess and at 100%. I don't wanna risk that. lol its actually funny that I kinda know my answer already but I thought the community of ranked stealthers could assist!

If I bought a replica instead of a refurbished original item, I'd destroy your reputation everywhere, not just on eBay.

Ebay is full of replica stuff, most people are to stupid to realise9. You should be fine.

Good. If you do ever sell replicas and not mention the word "replica" then make sure the buyer knows what they're getting in some coded form. There are several ethical ways to tell the buyer, and "refurbished" is not one of them

Tell them you'd like to undo the sale for personal reasons so they won't neg rep you.

Ill definitely will give them a good reason why they wont receive their item

You can say "BRAND NAME style item". Or cover the brand name with masking tape or something. You can sell replicas, as long as you're not using the brand name or claiming it's legit.

yes you can but you just have to mention that it's replica/not genuine (or use some other words). if the buyer knows from the start they are buying replica item, it should be fine. i have sold many of these and still selling them.

Yes, it is possible AS LONG AS YOU TOTALLY AVOID USING THE BRAND NAME ANYWHERE. For example if you're selling fake lego blocks, as long as you avoid using the term "lego" anywhere chances are you should be able to get away with it, like you say "These blocks are same size and compatible with popular brand blocks" or something like it. Of course eBay nazi's may still take you down, but in general, it's not illegal to sell replicas as long as you aren't trying to claim that they're made by the brand and don't use their trademarks or copyrighted terms to fool the customer into thinking that you're selling genuine items.

Regardless of having used the brand name in titles/descriptions, if you list the item purposely to deceive, you can be called out on it. The worst that can happen in your case is if the customer complains. If he/she realizes that the item is a counterfeit, they of course would want their money back. Especially in the case of electronics, if anything were to happen to the product, they're going to call the manufacturer and ask for a warranty repair/replacement or take it to a repair shop (company will then tell them that it's a replica). Even if eBay doesn't shut you down immediately, getting a negative feedback stating that you sold a counterfeit item hurts really bad.

You can list anything you want on eBay as long as you don't have a category limit (which applies mostly to clothing/accessories). I've seen counterfeit goods being sold on eBay all the time, and have purchased some (having been deceived of course). The issue is not about listing the item, it's about not getting called out on by your customers. Regardless of whether you're selling counterfeit goods or totally legit stuff, selling anything that has a higher risk of making your customers upset = not an ideal business for eBay which really thrives on your all around ratings. Getting a low DSR rate (even if your feedback is above 98% positive) can still lower your selling limits and get your account suspended for X amount of time...
