Hi Folks,

I'm starting an online business selling a home-made product that will mainly be used by females and have heard that Pinterest is a good platform to promote your website/product, especially if it's female related! However, I have never used the app and no clue how to get started.

I'm wondering what is the best way to use the app for my purpose? I assume gaining followers is the most important thing for promoting a product so what is the best way to do this? (follow/unfollow method like IG?)

Any other tips/tricks would be much appreciated!

Hey,

Promoted pins has just come out by the pinterest team as a way to advertise on the site and I heard it has a good ROI so look into that if you are from the u.s. Yes just like IG though do make sure you follow people in your niche and not just anybody as you will have uninterested followers.

Join large boards ( 10k or more people) and pin there to get larger views. look at pin groupie to see where and how many followers a board has and try to get added. I have some boards with 5k - 20 k followers that I could invite you in, its mainly fashion and jewellery though.

Thanks for the help! Unfortunately I'm not in the US but the UK. Ok, it's a beauty product I'm creating but I'll send you a PM.

For main account: Look at a few active and large profiles in your niche, even competitors. These folks have already a head start on you. Make the kind of boards that they make. Be sure to look at groupboards that they have and analyze the engagements. Try and join those groupboards and make yourself known via pinning and/or commenting. Make your own groupboards and invite the other boards' active pinners. Everything you do should be manual.

For dummy accounts: Make some. Read up various posts in here and in the journey section on how to manage/bot multiple accounts.

GL to you sir.

I know there're people who use bots vs those who do everything manually. Do you think I can do both at the same time and do case studies comparing them?

No one is stopping you so why not? :p

I have a beauty health group board with almost 16k followers. Let me know if you need a invite.

Can you let me know re: this please?
Looking to help a client gain more traffic to his costume jewelry board... Thanks!
