Need help regarding domains and SEO.

I am about to create a website. The keyword I am targeting is two words and has 2.74 million exact match searches every month. There are 0 authority sites in the top 10 results, only web 2.0's. Say my keyword is "fried rice" (It isn't really):
-All regular domains, .com, .net, .org, are taken, but nothing has been done with them. (yikes, too lazy to correct grammar.) If I were to buy a domain like friedricefor.dinner (not what I would buy) would it be easy to outrank the web 2.0's since I have the keyword in my domain, even though it is not exact match? Thanks!

To be honest, it takes much more than just a domain name to rank.
You need quality content ans solid backlinks. So just go ahead with any niche related domain name. Also a 2million+ keyword will take lots of efforts to rank. So start working hard on your website.

Soooo you found a easy comp 2.7m keyword. I find this hard to believe.

Anyway before you try to go after this keyword make sure you look at the domains backlink profile.

For the domain name just make anything up that has your keyword in it.

bestfriedrice.com friedriceguide.com

anything it doesn't matter just make sure the keyword is in it.

After the EMD update Google does not give as much value to emd domains as it used to give. Personally, I try to stick to brandable domains and manage to over-rank websites that have keywords in domain name.

It might actually be a hard niche and people use the domain authority of web2.0 to rank.. also you cannot see the pbn links linking to those.

Personally, I think you should try and search for a more lower competitive keyword seeing that you are new to SEO. You should try ranking for 5k even 1k monthly searches keywords that have low comp at first.

They are all made using google site creator... not blogger... freaking google site creator, that piece of junk that no one has used in forever because it is trash... I will also be spending 100-200 on initial seo so that should get me there under my logic, or at least under one of the smaller 40k searches a month long tails that have the same google sites sites in the top 10.
