Some time back a mod shared an semrush coupon and a lot of us jumped on the offer. I have been looking for tool to extract my competitors keywords when i stumbled upon a working link for a 30 days free pro subscription. You would have to add a credit card to get this working. Remember to close your account before the end of the 30 days.

- Find out the keywords your competitors are ranking for. Export to an excel sheet and filter them removing irrelevant keywords.
- Paste those keywords about 70 at a time in the keyword difficulty tool and check for the keyword difficulty ensuring it is less than 55% - 60%.
- Check the pages ranking for those keywords. If the external links are low then you have good chances all things being equal.
- Next step is to check for the external links pointing to those pages. eg. abc.com/page-with-keyword (backlinks)
- Build links on those pages and even more quality links. Ensure you do a proper onpage seo targetting those keywords or simply make a new post for it. Doing this would give you good chances of outranking your competitor.
