Yes, I read somewhere that you should have atleast 100 subscribers before you start using high retention views to get your videos ranked. Also if your channel is slightly aged it helps out.

I have heard some of them doesn't work and I heard that it really works out. But in my opinion, you will need to make a real subscribers so that your channel or video will ranked.

As far as I know, subscribers do have an influence on ranking, however its just one out of thousand factors.

One of my friends bought back in 2013 10 000 fake youtube subscribers and then he started commenting on other youtubers videos. After that he bought fake likes for his facebook page, people started watching him and now he has over 1 300 000 subscribers ... a HUUUUUUUUUUUUGE fanbase of kids watching his gaming videos... lucky guy
