3 of my accounts with 20k followers asked for phone verification today.
I use Google Voice, got the code, but when i used the code, my accounts got banned.
Lost 3 good accounts.

I've got a load of sim cards I got for free from their sites. I've never used new ones to verify accounts yet though, Do you have to topup to make them work or not?

I hope it's not totally true. I have gv number on my accs I have verified few months ago. Haven't got pv again for being a good boy.

It's true unfortunately. I had to use a GV number for one of my accounts and it got banned. GV was patched ~2 weeks ago. They obviously won't ban accounts who are already verified, but if you try to re-verify with a GV, the chance of getting banned is high.
