Best Way to Monitize File Sharing Site?

I have a file sharing site that right now is getting ~2k visits per day. I am using revenuehits for ads. A lot of the traffic is from Tor and therefor doesn't convert very well.

My question is how can I monetize my site and also what would be a good way to build more traffic?

So I tried a content locker (CPA lead)last night and I actually made a few dollars, but my traffic went way down. I'm worried that people will stop using my site now...

Anyone have experience with this?

Let's face the problem in a good way.

Who are your customers ?
From what you say, TOR users. This is probably not a good sign. Some people use TOR for security, but lots of them use it to hide their footprints because they feel guilty about somehting / have somehting to hide. My first advice would be : try & see what are the most downloaded files, monitor it a little bit.

Why do they come to your site ?
Because it's free, not monitored.

How would you make money with it ?
Either you accept their game and put simple ads on it
You can also add a content locker. But the best thing would adding it once you have tons of files on your server. Why ? Simply because you'll get a lot of backlinks then and you wouldn't much suffer from traffic drop.
You could also put an Adblock blocker. Find a TOR blocker if it even exists.

I do have ads but they're not making much. It's all CPA. Would you recommend any networks?
