Can you still invite other accounts to pinterest boards? I read somewhere that pinterest stopped board invitations for the bigger boards, don't know if it's true. But I never had any problems with inviting other accounts, but this week I sent a new account of mine invitations to a few bigger boards I am already in and although I was able to sent the invitations with my old account, the new account did not get the invitations like it used to. Is anybody else unable to invite/receive invitations as well (maybe it's just not working anymore with the newer accounts) ?

No problems so far.
But I didn't test it with brand new Accounts.

There's a setting in groupboards that let's owners to disallow invites by other members. It's a new thing.

oh ok...thanks for answering. I guess it must be this thing then, because I also did not have any problems until now with the boards I am in. stupid new settings....

Its not this function he talks about, if the admin disables the inviting for other members you cant send invites.

I just sent invites from 2 boards on one of my accounts to 25 other accounts, out of curiousity i checked the accounts manually before i let the invites age and saw that maybe 20-30% of the invites i sent arreived.

They are 2 pretty big boards but one is just half the size of the other one, from the biggest board just 3 invites from 25 arrived at my accounts, from the smaller board around 10-12.

Anyone have legit information why this is happening and how we can avoid id, did they put a max invite cap to boards which is directly related to the follower count of the board?

hope to get a useful discussion started here.

Regards

yes I think you might be right. Clearly something strange is going on and I would like to know what it is. Thanks for telling me that you have the same problem. I thought it was only happening to me.
But the invitations I sent just don't reach the boards I invited. And it was never like that for me until now. Normally when I sent out invites, they reached the invited boards instanly and I also got an email notification telling me I was invited to a board instantly. Now when I invite my new accounts to boards I neither get a notification on my pinterest account nor an email notification of the invite. This is very bizarre because when I try to invite my new accounts again to the boards I get a message from them that the account is already invited although I received no invitation at all. nothing.

And yes I think you're right that the invite function is not disabled by the admin because otherwise one would not be able to sent an invitaion at all.

Anyone else got the problem or knows what it is?
