Should i / Can i rank local site using PBN?

1.) There are tools for desktop computers that emulate an android smart phone. I would use this with a dedicated proxy geolocated to my clients city and force the software to us my proxies via an SSH tunnel. I would then install one of those location spoofing apps on the emulated smart phone to make it think I was at the clients business. Check in on the review site and then leave a review in the account I checked in on. I am not sure if this method still works, as I did this 2 years ago, but the reviews I posted are still sticking to this day.

2.) I mixed it up. Sometimes it would be a bloggers personal review of the business with either the businesses NAP or backlink, or both posted. Sometimes it would be a fake local business or blogger linking to one of my clients blog posts as a reference without the NAP.

3.) Yes, just a made up, but realistic NAP from my clients city. I would use a random, but real home address in Los Angeles, a skype number, and a made up name for the author or local business in their contact information page.

4.) Kind of, mostly manual. I would use a tool called autofill magic to cut time on filling out lots of the information. That tool also was a life save when building local citations. I did not do any tiered link building. Instead I would focus on the onsite SEO for the web 2.0s and the use of high quality content helped get them real traffic and even comments from real people.

5.) Honestly I have never used parasite pages or links...then again I really don't have any experience with them either. I have heard enough mixed reviews that I don't want to take any risk or waste the time with a clients page. But I absolutely do want to experiment with them at some point on my own pages.

6.) I built the website first, made sure everything was 100% original content from images to written content. Then made sure content was rich with keywords, but not spammy or anything like that. Then focused on perfecting onsite SEO. Then I went and setup between 130 to 150 local citations. Then focused on ranking the Videos I made for my client. Then Local press releases, and then I started focusing on reviews. I did the PBNs last since I had never tested that before on a local site. Not sure if it's what got me the rankings that the site has now, but I think it definitely did. I hope that is helpful.

Thanks for the info!! It's very helpful to me!
As my city is a small city. The maximum local citations I have will be around 60. But I will try to get as much as possible from our competitors.

1) Local press release is also nearly none in my city.. I have seen our competitors using some global PR. Such as prnewswire.com, etc. Do you think I shld use it?

2) My biggest challenge would be building a PBN. Do you have any information on how you build those PBN? Or articles/ threads thst you feel is useful? Such as how to find a good domain , etc.

3) do you think I shld buy a domain on bhw or find a domain myself? Domain shld be also same niche right?

4) Should I start building 1st PBN first? And then slowly increase or should I start with 5 PBN first?

Thanks you so much! (:

You already know the answers to this question. Emulate your competitors backlinks that you feel comfortable/safe doing. If you've already done the basics like on-site seo, citations, social signals, regular backlinks, etc. The only thing left to do is continue building diversified links. Press Release, web 2.0, PBN, Guest posting, etc. Build tier 2 links to tier 1 and strengthen the links.

If you're in a small city, it shouldn't be that difficult.

For tier 2 links, is it GSA ? Do you buy from BHW market?

Ranking local sites use to be cake regardless of the niche.

Between early 2013 - early 2014 I was ranking one after another #1 in 6-8 weeks. You could just smash a site with PBN links and get to the top in no time. At present... the fundamentals are the same but how you apply those fundamentals have changed. It's like engineering a new engine. All the core components might be the same but more effort is put into each component and how they're rigged together. Making the engine run better and more efficiently.

Everyone says citations, press releases, blah blah blah.

Let's get a few things straight. Citations help rank your G Local. Which is important. But they're not going to do much of anything to rank your site (free citations I should say). Press releases are worthless for anything other than diluting your booster sites (PBN). Also, you didn't mention (maybe I missed) if this is your site or a clients. If this is a site for a business you own ... rather than clients, you're in a much different scenario than most people on here.

The way I rank local sites is pretty complex. It involves a lot of work and I don't focus solely on SEO. My goal is to build an enormous >>>FUNNEL that prescreens, prequalifies and presells traffic.

Very much like net fishing. The wider the net the more fish you catch.

So when I build a site the first thing I focus on is populating that site with as many geo-targeted pages as possible. I target every single county, township, city and town in my state. Then I add about 40-50 primary pages going after all my primary pages.

Every page on your site you should be silo'd.

You NEED to focus on building a BIG site. I can tell you for a fact that huge, silo'd, authority type local sites rank much easier than the crappy 10-20 page sites you see plugging up pages 2 and beyond. Not just that, but you will pull in traffic from everywhere. Those long tail keywords will actually pull in more traffic (cumulatively) than all your primaries combined. If you do it right.

As for ranking, PBNs are obviously a key part. But if you don't know how to build and use them... you're gonna lose a lot of money.

I need to emphasize, there is a HUGE DIFFERENCE between ranking a local site, and build a REAL, LONG TERM FUNNEL for a business. 90+% of marketers are not going to do anything useful for a business. They may rank a few keywords and get you a few more clicks. But most marketers I know do not take advantage of all the smart opportunities businesses should exploit.

A simple example. Using geo-targeted YT arbitrage. You write 10 awesome scripts. Outsource the voiceovers on fiver or do them yourself. Then scrape a bunch of images.
Then what I do is use FL Studio to chop down the scripts into sound bytes. I load all the images and sound bytes into power director.

This allows me to manually spin and render hundreds of "unique", geo-targeted YT videos.

For every new video I make, I just spin around a few images, move a few sound bytes around then rerender.

After you've rendered say 50 videos for starters, you start laser targeting all the low hanging fruit. Upload 1 video after another after another all targeting different towns (use the zipcodes in the title).

Then you can blatantly spam these with GSA. But I NOT drop the link of my homepage in the description. I do it in the annotations as those don't get indexed by G. That way you don't have a spam fest of GSA links pointing directly to a page with your link indexed on page 1 of G.

Out of every 50 videos you upload, you'll see 10-20 pop up on page 1 of Google within a few days to a few weeks. If you keep the campaigns going you may see another 5-10 pop up if you're lucky.

If you do 200-300 videos, you can pull in traffic real fast for dirt cheap and that traffic will come in for years.

It's the same concept as using geo pages on your site except your piggy backing off a parasite page instead. So you can abuse / rank the pages with spam.

And this is really just the tip of the iceberg. I could write a 400 page book on building local funnels but it would take forever.

Good luck,

-BB

I've personally seen blasting citation pages (that provide do-follow links) with strong PBNs to be really effective. It's like passing all of the power of that PBN, through a safe, secure, high-quality filter.

Interesting method!
Is this a better method than pointing PBN's at the money site?

Seems safer. Is there a downside?

You should get backlink from the site footer. Which sites google index must be minimum 10k, alexa under 1m

This is very dangerous my friend, you gotta be very careful about sitewide links these days. I wouldn't do it unless I have huge variety of quality of backlinks to balance it out.

Would more supposed "evergreen" assistance like using Q&A websites for your niche be worthwhile in being a boost for this? Would this be of a general thing for authority or more of a local one?

If you are doing this for a client.. I would refrain from PBN.. the day Google finds about the PBN, it will impose heave penalty on your client's site a..maybe even deindex it ..

Even though PBN links are not 100% necessary for ranking local sites...

If you are in a very competitive niche, PBN links can produce some serious results for your website/client.

Interested in maybe having your own PBN?

Send me a PM/ check my sig.

add a layer of web 2's as first tier and plug the pbn's to the second tier if you working on a client site. link out the web 2's to multiple authority sites as well as a non-competing site.

so far i haven't used PBN for my local business, but still ranking using web2.0 and micro blogging. but i plan to try PBN to produce a better ranking, lets try.

Yes, you can. But locally you usually need the support of citations, some regional links and reviews.

I think it depends on your location, if you need a PBN to rank local sites make sure that your niche is great because it will take lot of time a cost you a little. Try to outrank them using great backlinks (:

OP Yes, you can rank a local site with the help of citations and pbn domains with good metrics. Social signals are good, too.

PBN. Citations. Reviews. Press releases.

I'm a Digital Marketing manager at a company here in New York. This is what it takes. Also, Yelp is key.

Hi everybody,

I would like to ask about some questions regarding ranking a highly competitive local site. I focus more in organic ranking currently.

1) To rank a local site, it requires the following below right?
·On Site SEO
·Citations
·Web 2.0 and Parasite/Authority Backlinks
·PBNs

Any others that I could use?

2) Because my competitors are taking the Global SEO approach in ranking their local sites such as PBN, tiered link building strategies, press release, contextual links, forum profiles, pdf sharing sites, etc.
Should I get the same type backlinks as them? Or stick to the methods mentioned in QN 1?

3) Can I or should I rank my local site solely using only PBN & local citations?(Without the global seo approach mentioned in QN 2) Because I think that 1 of my competitors is ranking solely using only PBN & local citations… The rest are taking global seo approach + PBN.

4) After I start off with my facebook & twitter for off-site & local citations. What is the next "off-site" I should be building? PBN? Guest posts? Press release? Etc.?

5) Any other tips / information for ranking my site?

FYI, most of my competitors are hiring local seo company to do seo for them. Not sure if I am capable in outranking them myself... That's why I came here to ask for the experts in BHW. Hope to learn from the experts here!

Appreciate your help guys!
do you have skype can we talk about PBN links
