Just search Google for web design tutorials. Also, I would recommend you to start creating websites with WordPress. It is very popular and many people want WordPress websites.

If you are prepared to spend money on monthly basis, Lynda has some great tutorials about web design. If my memory is good, i think you have 2 kinds of subscribtion there - monthly without excercise files which is cheaper and its around $25 and monthly, with excercise files which is $37. Worth of checking it out anyway

Web design is a broad subject. Where you go to start learning will depend on what facet you want to learn. If you want to learn how to install wordpress, a theme and some plugins, you would go to a different place compared to the place you'd go to learn PHP or Rails.

The internet is jam-packed with resources. I've learnt allow from YouTube, W3 Schools is good to check syntax. Lynda.com has some really good tutorials.

you can learn by lynda.com and w3schools.com. Just gothrough this and do practically. Good luck

I used Codecademy.com for web coding lessons, and it turned very useful. You learn Web Design basics among them.

W3school is a good start. If you have the money try to subscribe to lynda or others like teatreehouse

Browse the web, there are plenty of tutorials available.
Also, check youtube, you'll find a lot of free video tutorials there!

It depends on what type of web design you want to learn. There a lot of directions. For example, there is web interface design. When I learned how to design web interfaces I had tasks to design some pages and elements: a signup page, a landing page, a dashboard, a wizard and etc.

I didn't know terminology and how to look for what I need. Dribble was a solution. I took one task from my ToDo list (for example, a wizard), found all dribble screenshots associated with a wizard tag and began to read comments. I discovered what is a hierarchy, contrast, good fonts and other things which constitute stunning interface design. Hope it helps.

1. Choose a little project to work on (or something you want to copy)
2. Do an online course (coursera, etc) while focusing on how what you learn applies to your chosen project
3. After you complete some courses and assignments you can work easily on your project
4. Use stack overflow for problems
5. Use bootstrap to make everything prettier

Good luck!

This depends a lot of what's YOUR best way of learning. I for myself can't learn from books, but for other people it may be the most efficient way to read books... so it's different from person to person.

I learned it with just testing, testing and more testing + google and tutorials. A m8 from myself learned from books, while another one loved codeacademy.com.

Find your most efficient way to learn and stick to it, there are countless tutorials, books and other resources out there to learn from :)

Get a well written book and study at your home desk without any distractions.
That's how I'm doing it.

Hello,

1) Turn off facebook and twitter for 2 weeks.
2) Unplug your TV
3) Go on youtube and search for HTML/CSS from scratch tutorials.
4) Then search for Boostrap tutorials (most popular html framework)
5) Don't just follow tutorials. In between, experiment what you learned, try some things, make little projects.

W3schools.com, many, many youtube channels, coursera, different websites like tutsplus, codrops - they all offer cool tutorials ;)

I think wordpress is the best
more than other one
You can Learn easily
