I started in the weight loss niche, and I don't regret it. But as the popularity of this thread continues to grow, it's become much more difficult. We're all commenting on the same articles, leaving the same types of comments. Even when trying to be original, it's only time before somebody copies my exact same comment as their own. As a result of this, it requires more work, much more comments, in order to get the same amount of traffic (and thus sales) as I did when I started this back in March.
As a result of this, instead of working even harder to drop more comments, I noticed something during some research. One such niche is depression. There's one guy that comments on depression articles, and I bet he's banking. So I put on my thinking cap and brainstormed various niches. Holy crap. That did it. My new niche makes me WAY more money than the weight loss niche ever did. And so far, I'm the only person dropping links.
So my advice to the new guys is to stay out of the weight loss niche. Pick something else. Health is a very big niche (I'm not doing anything related to the health niche), so there's plenty of subniches to choose from. You'll see a much greater return on your investment (time) by going with a different niche.
Ignore my advice if you want, it's your wallet. I've tested so much stuff since starting this in March. Some things that worked for me really well have gone against what others in this thread like freddy have recommended, but it's probably because of my approach with it.
The weight loss niche is fine.
I think the problem for some people is that their site looks like shit and they copy/paste comments everywhere. You have to have a good site with a nice theme and a good logo. It needs to look legit to the average person. I'm currently reworking my game plan though, as I'm now optimizing my site for keywords too - it will pay off down the line. Also optimizing it for speed and other things, which I read are becoming more important for ranking in the SERPs - specifically Google.
You do have a point though. My next niche is going to be something very obscure, but with a big market and not much competition. Actually it doesn't even need to be a big market because the lack of competitors will make up for it. If there is no competition, like you said, then you can clean up. You can still clean up in weight loss though - just be better than your competition. Most people are spamming comments in broken English and their site looks like garbage.
You're right, the weight loss niche is fine. My site doesn't look like shit, and it made quite a bit of money a few months ago. But the amount of money earned lately in relation to the amount of work required hasn't been a good ROI for me personally. I went with a different niche that is doing way, way better, and so far, nobody else is commenting in my niche.
To give some numbers, I had my weight loss site steadily making $250-$325 a day, every day. I know what I'm talking about, what works, and what doesn't work as well.
So yes, while weight loss is still fine, it's no longer acceptable to me, for the amount of time required. You can still compete, but it's much harder when articles have a wall of comments all saying basically the same thing, pointing to review sites saying basically the same thing.

Are you making $250 - $325 steadily per day just through this method? I also do weight loss niche, but I can't get any sales. As you said, a wall of comments all saying the same thing basically. So, I am very surprise you can make so big money just by commenting.
Hello, Freddyjames,
I have everything polished and ready, but god damn I can't find places to post.
You mentioned multiple times on this thread that just by writing most popular niche "weight loss" or "fitness" in google and adjusting the settings to 24h and recent will yield thousands of sites to work with. Well, I can't see how. For example, I just tried to do that for testing purposes and check every link for weight loss and several other related keywords. I literally checked first 5 pages and didn't find a single posting opportunity, needless to say 90% of the sites were micro niche review sites without any traffic whatsoever promoting some kind of garcina cambogia product. I spent about 4-5minutes for that.. Couldn't post a single comment. I found some related news articles though, but these were without comments section. That's what blows my mind. Supposedly you can post 40 comments in 15 minutes and that's 2.6comments per minute or a comment every 25seconds.. I would be happy to get 40 comments a day.![]()
Sort "by relevance" instead of "by date" - you will find plenty of places to post in. This has been covered many times. For instance, "weight loss" will give you about 50 pages of just news results a day (~750 articles) to possibly post on - That's without facebook pages and web results of which there will be hundreds or even thousands.
All the answers anybody needs to make money with this method are within this thread.

Thanks for the method, Meathead. Would you or any veteran to this method be willing to review my site and provide tips? I'd be willing to provide monetary compensation once I start converting to show my appreciation for your time and help.
I have subpages/subtopics under the weight loss category, but as others have found, is harder to convert since it's so saturated. I have another niche that I know will convert better, but am seeing if I should still focus my time on my original site first, or if should spend my time on the new site. I am somewhat limited on time, so I want to use it most efficiently...therefore, I'm asking a veteran to this method to review my site and see what they think.
I've only been up for a week or 2, with time to post about 5-10 comments a day (or every other day...unfortunately). From the latest posts, I understand that I should be posting way more than this.
The following are my stats from yesterday:
Sessions: 44
Users: 44
Page Views: 53
Bounce Rate: 93.18%
Organic Search: 6
Pages/Session: 1.20
From the last 7 days:
Sessions: 251
Users: 243
Page Views: 367
Bounce Rate: 84.86%
Organic Search: 37
Pages/Session: 1.46
I know a lot of the low stats above have to do with the low amount of time that I have put in commenting, but I plan on changing that immediately. As mentioned, I want to use my time efficiently....so the main question is whether I should keep at this, or if I should focus my time on a niche which I know will convert better. If I focus my time on the new niche, I would need to create another domain and spend time building (and of course, not focus on making money yet)...but I know would convert better when I twist the method a bit with this particular niche. Let me know what you veterans think, and if anyone would be willing to review.
I'll try and cut through the analysis.....
Get your message right, believe in it.
The more you believe in something, the more you want to do it.
I was, with the weight loss niche. When I quit the weight loss niche, it had dropped considerably. The traffic just wasn't there anymore.
just made my first sale after only 2 days of using this method
