1.5k budget, Laptop or Macbook?

I need my phone only to call comeone and surf my sites so I have Samsung s5, I should buy Nokia 3310? It can also surf web and call people.

I have my car and I need it to drive me from A to B, I have Golf 6 but I should buy Golf1 instead?

I have my money and my budget and I will spend what I want, it's my money and that's it.

Yikes, you asked for advice and he gave it... and it was good advice on top of it. I was going to say, if you are only looking for a laptop that you would be using for Posting on WP and surfing the web, a Chromebook would do just fine. You could pocket the extra scratch and invest it towards something else.... however, with that kind of reaction to sound advice, whatever...piss your money away

Get yourself a Dell with the "next business day warranty" (it is for 2 years and can be extended to even 3 years). When anything goes wrong with your Dell, you'll just call the support and on the next business day a technician will visit you and will repair your laptop.

I use both of them Macbook Pro and HP , and i'd say you should go for mac

I have used both, now I only use mac due to various problems with PC. In my experience most people who have used both stick with mac.

OP, Mac is better many times over than a Laptop. Just go to an Apple Store and try it out yourself, do the same with a Laptop and then decide which one to buy.

My experience with both. And then I said to the OP to try it out himself.

I've never generalized just saying that Apple/Mac is for hipsters. That was so fucking dumb.

The Macbook is a laptop. So the question is improperly phrased.

I never buy anything but Thinkpads. Ex-lease reconditioned ones in the T 410-430 510-530 series cost about 30% of the price of a new Macbook and have the best build quality anywhere. You can drop them from table height onto a stone floor. Of course the corners get chipped, but you can pick them up and continue working. A Macbook would not be able to handle that.
