Anyone Know How Often Google+ Local Reviews Refresh?

I'm working with a client on an ORM campaign. One of the key pieces to address was to offset a lot of negative Google+ Local reviews with positive ones. We've gotten three new ones in, but none of them show up on the Google+ Local widget. You have to click through to see them. Does anyone know how often Google refreshes that widget panel? Of the three results, its actually showing two quotes from one of the negative reviews. Also anyone know how they determine what is most helpful (their default ordering scheme)? Thanks.
