Im using fl for a couple of weeks now and I have been thinking. That maybe engagement is not important if you gained the followers from botting and here is why. To grow a 1m you would need 1k followers daily for more then 3 years. Thats alot. I heard about a fasion account which has 1m followers on bussines insder that makes 15k$ per post. a looked at the page and it had this poor engagment. only 11k likes per pic. I figure that most of it are bots, but I thought to my self what if I would be concetrating only on getting new followers? follow mass load of people, like alot of photos and just let it grow. Maybe its beacause im newbie and may be its what everyone are doing but what are your thoughts about that?

But... we are doing exactly this. Follow, like to get more followers, then engagement will come if you post good sh!t.

i think that engagement is more important then the follower number
we need quality not quantity

To internet marketers engagement maybe more important. But to normal people, most of them would rather spend $100 on a one million account getting 11k likes than an account with 500k getting 15k likes. It's all about follower appeal to these people.

You won't be getting 1k followers per day when you have 10k and 900k followers. When you are at 900k you will be getting 10k new followers per day.

1m followers makes them feel "safer".
They feel like gaining more Followers that way, eventhough the engagement is worse.

OP forgets about the snowball effect

These are the daily gains of a 4,000,000 page WITHOUT SHOUTOUTS that gets ~100,000 likes/post.

And these are the gains of a 1,600,000 page WITH SHOUTOUTS that gets ~50,000 likes/post.

So yes there is definitely a strong snowball effect but without shoutouts getting 10,000 new followes/day is VERY hard without some other source of exposure such as a YouTube channel.

omg...these numbers, hope my account lives to see them one day :D

Engagement will always decrease once you start getting a lot more followers.

That's just how it works.

Exactly what I thought.

Basically, if you want to sell shoutouts, you need to have a lot of followers, because normal people usually don't know that the engagement is more important.

If you want to sell products or advertise your own site then you need good engagement.

My top account has over 1.2 million followers with engagement up to (max 62k likes). I haven't heard of anybody in my network (I'm one of the smaller accounts) with that kind of profit. What type of fashion product were they selling?

You have choice, you want engagement or follower because IMO both are inversely proportional to each other.

you mean the percentage right?
If I have 10% Engagement right now with a 20k Account, then I will have 5% Engagement at 200k (which would still be more likes/comments than I have right now)

So how much do you charge per post?
