I have emailed several businesses in the UK offering to distribute flyers for them at a university that they are located close too. I find this gig on fiverr and mark it up at a huge price. One of the businesses is interested however wants me to come in to talk to them. I don't live close by and the fiverr seller is willing to take on the lead and give me commission for the sale. What % commission should I take to hand over the lead to him?

What commission have you been offered?

I said give me a number first but went straight here to ask you guys for advice haha. The client could buy for several hundreds of pounds and most likely will. What do you think is the right percentage for me?

Also once I hand over the lead to him I'll be trusting him to tell me correct price, whatever he and the client end up coming to an agreement to. How can I ensure he tells me the right price of sale and pays me the correct amount of commission?

I suppose you'll just have to trust him, if you already agreed a price with the lead then he wont be able to charge any more than already agreed.

As for the commission i dunno, 50% maybe.

Then if you can generate more and more leads you could agree on a higher %.

I do trust him, he's a good lad, have spoken with him over the phone. I haven't agreed a price yet with the client. 50% sounds good!
