TOO Many Domains!?

Hey,


I'm currently holding 14 domains, but only 4 of them are actual websites with some value. The domains are all at least 2 years old.

What's the most beneficial thing I can do with the other 10 of my domains, because they are just sitting there doing nothing ?

If the domains aren't very good or you're not going to develop them, just let them expire. I had this issue last year. I let about 200 domains expire because it was a waste of money. I still keep about 20 that I use for developing websites and I generally keep them because they are good domain names and one day I will use them.

Domains are something you tend to accrue once you get started with IM. I'd be shocked if most of the long-term members haven't got 20 or 30 domains sitting across various registrars.

if keeping them registered is costing too much, sell them off - otherwise, I'd go with keytenx's suggestion.

You can try domain parking, but I wouldn't expect much. If the domains still have time on them, give it a shot. Then whatever isn't making money, let expire. I stopped parking domains many years ago because most weren't worth the trouble.

I like to delete domains if i'm not going to do anything with them.
It gives you a sense of cleanliness, and doesn't leave any thoughts of "one day i will...." when you really know you never will.

I usually put them on GD Auctions or Sedo for those with any value, or those I don't want to let expire or never got around to developing.. If someone makes me a good enough offer, then all good, otherwise I renew and will get around to developing eventually

The way I assuage the income hit is keep $50 in paypal at all times. Once I get an auto-payment for a domain, I leave $1-$5 from each of my revenue payments in paypal until it reaches $50.

let them rot, i generally use them for blackhat methods so i don't have to worry about getting them banned or anything.

as above, use them to test services from here & analyze the links you get with GWMT & majestic. Learn how to replicate those links and your old domains and will pay for themselves many times over.

or just let them drop - it does feel good sometimes to let go of an old domain.
