kik thesolebay would like to talk business
It could be, but there's something with the IG algorythm, because the drop in likes didn't decrease with time, but rather instantly and at the same time for everyone.Thank you all guys for your comments! Great post!
My other hypothesis is this one:
Less bot activity overall (lots of banned accounts since early this year) = Less Likes overall
On the other hand maybe people is less active than it was before...
Don't you think?
people who have grown naturally have experienced a drop in the likes too, which is bizarre. I bet those IG f**kers are laughing when reading our guessesIt could be, but there's something with the IG algorythm, because the drop in likes didn't decrease with time, but rather instantly and at the same time for everyone.
They are doing this because their ads service is coming, so I doubt they will improve anything but their private jets.
That's true in case of FB, but where would you go from IG?
I'm growing just for the sake of growing. it might change, it might not. can't sayAnd yep I bet they are cracking up right now. Oh well. Is there even a point to grow now?
It seems as if Periscope is the next big think. But why not create your own social network? They are doing this because their ads service is coming, so I doubt they will improve anything but their private jets.

yeah, that's true! already started on growing my periscope account tooIt seems as if Periscope is the next big think. But why not create your own social network?
for know I've live streamed couple of sunsets with pretty great views and live street music. growing with follow/unfollow only for now because account is small but there are three things that can cheat the system for now:Isn't that a live stream service? How do you grow your account? Are you streaming your life or what?
Wow, this is some really detailed writingfor know I've live streamed couple of sunsets with pretty great views and live street music. growing with follow/unfollow only for now because account is small but there are three things that can cheat the system for now:
1) there are no apps to track followers, so when you delete someone, most of the people don't know. results in almost no drop in followers count
2) the system promotes accounts that have huge number of hearts and you can make a bogus account, watch a replay of your stream and just give likes to yourself and ask your friends to do it. if you do this quite often, you can end up on the front page
3) there is a page that shows recent live streams(you can watch a replay of those) and because there's not much activity, yours stays on top for several hours and you can get plenty of views because of that.
obviously people who have first mover advantage will gain the most now, but I'm struggling with more content for now, need to think about streaming more often
no problem)) I agree with you on the youtube stars and tv guys. some of the people do stream their regular lives on there tooWow, this is some really detailed writingThank you.
I can see the potential, but not really for ordinary people. More like youtube stars and overall TV, music stars.
I don't think it could be the next big thing. I just can't imagine people streaming their lives, that's way too personal. It's ok to make a shot about a meal, a holiday or a night out and put the pictures to their insta, but streaming for minutes/hours. I don't think so.
who knows, they might realise that by doing this, loads of users will be lost and revenue as a result...Ya. Guess I'll focus on growing and if it changes it changes. You never know maybe their system is just like this till they do a big update. And ya periscope is a cool app, but ya more for the movement youtuber group I guess.
