I see many websites losing a ton of trust flow in the last couple of days, including one of mine. I have a website with 20TF/30CF and now the TF dropped to 0 with the CF remaining the same.
What happened to Majestic TF?

Isn't TF/CF ratio supposed to be the only half-decent metric to judge the backlinks of a site?

Majestic has a big historic index and a smaller fresh index. Maybe they're refreshing the fresh index.
It's either something like that or they are adjusting their algo.

Just revisit the site in a day or two's time. You metric will show up again.

They are tweaking their metric weekly. I notice that across checking tens (if not hundreds) of domains consistently every week.
On the half-decent note - I highly doubt that Majestic, a company of that size and resource, can do as good of a job as Google evaluating links. The TrustFlow metric is based on whitelisting/blacklisting domains - which if you ask me is a horrible idea given the amount of domains that exist. You'd need an enormous team to get the job done, and costs wouldn't be justified by their subscription. Heck, even Google doesn't do this on every domain (only some get manually reviewed).

I have a dream where one day people will evaluate domains based on the quality of back links instead of a money motivated metric generated by some guys from England. One day....

Peetrike is right. TF and CF are just made up metrics by a commercial entity.

Majestic just updated their TF algorithm. Thats the reason its old results varying.

Why would it matter if its from a commercial entity? Are there any not-for-profit organizations valuing links? Pagerank was made from Google - a for profit entity, and it did a great job for evaluating what link has the most value.

I just got a reply from Majestic themselves
"We are getting a few domains reported, so far all of them are failing to resolve from Global DNS. Currently we suspect that a DNS hosting provider has gone down or is having issues. This will mark the site as unavailable so trust flow will not flow to or through these sites."
Just wait a couple of days or weeks.

This is the answer I looked for. It wierded me out that all of the sudden the site lost all TF, with 30TF links pointing to it. It didn't make sense even in the context of Majestic metrics.
I didn't want to start a discussion on the validity of TF as a metric. Sorry.
