I noticed this a few months ago, I used to get a lot of likes now I can barely get any likes, it made me want to stop using instagram. Nothing better than getting all these likes, its as if i was getting a natural high now its a disappointment

I don't think this has to do anything with bots, I've seen people doing things manually get hit by this... it's probably Instagram related.

Maybe they'll eventually implement a facebook ads type of thing, like "boost pic" and you'll have to pay to reach all your followers... SMH

They introduced ads 1 month ago, it's currently in beta, so yea, it must be related to that.

While I have noticed a minimal drop off in engagement on one of my accounts, it's primarily do to my decreasing. I feel like we often forget some of the most important things: post consistency and interaction with our followers and other people with in the niche. If you're still posting consistently and interacting just as much then it's probably due to the beta ads implemented around a month or so ago. I share the same fear of instagram becoming like facebook with their feed but we have no control over that and need to focus on what we can control which is post quality, post consistency, and interaction with other users. I hope your engagement improves!

I've been uploading the same amount of pictures of the same quality as always and I don't think this is the problem.

This is an old post but what's the update on people's engagement. I moved back to 200-300 likes which sucks cause I donhave 13k but my engagment again is low sadly. I'm wondering if I should stop botting or not. At the same time the engagement for a lot of my friends accounts who I know don't bot dropped too so maybe it's an instagram thing.

In January I average 1000 likes/pic now I have 700
Instagram definetvely use quality scores or something, and acc that did historically thousands of likes (in my case I did 350K likes) are getting really low exposure on the recommend page , wich means less non-followers engagement.
I stopped bot like two months ago and now only work organically, I'm still stucked, hopefully IG will change algorythim soon again..
We'll see what happen

You know, I really think instagram sliced it's engagement in half. I was browsing and studying and watching accounts, and again I know for sure some accounts that aren't even botting have their likes slashed in half. I know facebook bought instagram, and I know facebook does that weird thing where not everyone sees your post, especially on fan pages which is horrible. So I think they are doing the same thing here. It's like I need to hit 20k to almost equal what I had before. Mines is slowly climbing again, but ya...anyone else has any thoughts.

Ive noticed that too Im starting to think that Im not blocked or flagged its just happening for everyone. Or most people. Do you think the only solution is to keep growing our account and forget about our past engagement that was once good? Lol

Ya I really think it's everyone, because a couple of my friends who I know don't use FL or any other bot, or don't even care about bots have dropped. Like my friend he has a personal account, and he naturally had 19k because his wife is a youtube blogger, but his likes dropped off a lot too, so I guess we just have to build and build again. It sucks but what can you do I guess.

same in here. usually I'd easily get 300-400 likes in the first hour. now it's barely 300 and in 24 hours it doesn't really reach 600, whilst before it would be anything above 700. definitely something was changed
what the eff?? thank god someone brought this up because I was starting to wonder the same thing...hopefully they will improve on this because if this continues then I can see a lot of people might end up getting off instagram. People have switched quickly from Facebook to Instagram because of their ridiculous policies and money grabbing ways, so I will not be surprised if they will do the same here...
They are doing this because their ads service is coming, so I doubt they will improve anything but their private jets.
That's true in case of FB, but where would you go from IG?
