What to do next after backlinking

Hello. I am new to SEO, being doing it for about 2 months. I am working on my website and I am ranking for the keyword "renew your mind". Right now I am on page 3 for bing, 4 for yahoo, and 9 for google. I have done backlinking and according to ahrefs I have 5,785 backlinks. I don't know how they grew so fast but they did. I checked in market sumari and it says I have more backlinks then all of the compition on the top page of google. I don't understand what should i do now? Can someone please advise me on what to do?

The real work starts when you want to be in the top 10.
To see whats needed do a backlink check on your top competition for the phrase.
Then aim to get the same links poiting to your site
Some will cost you. But then you have to budget that into your business model
in relation to what you expect to earn form the site

How would my links be spam, i did about 500 (10-15) a day manually and the backlinks grew on their own. Like I said before I'm new at this, and I did nothing with spam, I just posted on blogs daily and kept watching aherfs. Can you please advise?
 
You will have to wait to see what happens, sometimes you will be fine and other times you will see your website get totally deindexed ;)
 
Well can someone explain how it is spam, if I posted on normal blogs. I was told you could post on normal blogs. How is that wrong? I'm trying to understand here.
 
What do you mean "post on blogs?" Comment spam? Or did you do article submissions? Still spam.

You need marketing not comment spam. When was the last time comment spam worked? Like 2006? Article submission spam got killed with Panda. What was that like 4 years ago?
 
All I did was find blogs that were in my niche, and posted a good quality comment. I found the top 500 blogs in my niche and I posted 10 - 15 good quality comments, can you explain how that was incorrect?

It's not spammy, since the link velocity was low, but it may be interpreted as artificial links due to the footprint or source (mostly blog comments). Your backlinks should come from a variety of quality sources, using varied anchors (i.e., exact or LSI keywords should only be 25% of the anchors, the rest should be brand name, raw url, or generic words).

So 500 links coming from the same 'neighborhood,' using the same kind of anchor, can be treated as spam, even if you have good quality and the velocity under control. The keywords should also have mainly low SEO competition, as that makes them much easier to rank for in general, thus less subject to Penguin scrutiny.

Nice share mate.
 
You need better quality backlinks and links properly targeted at your ranking pages. What you are currently doing may be good for Bing and Yahoo but not for Google.
 
Now you need you tube links, doc sharing links, image links. You cannot just do one type of link. Diversify. Don't do exact match-some partial, some naked url. Mix it up.
 
5k links.....game over. Might as well send another 10k and hope for the best.

Get quality links not spam next time.
 
You should focus on quality backlinks not spam. You should put your backlinks on high PR. It's good for you website.
