The niche is about weight loss

The competition you show in your screenshot is the adwords competition, it means that their is not a lot of people that bid on this keyword for paid links. To know the seo competition you need to analyse the content and the backlinks of the top 10 websites for this keywords. Search a bit on the forum their is many post about how to analyse the competition.

Damn, number 5 has a PR 6 with a mozrank of 4.86, good luck with that, hope that he's not working on the niche too lol

Beside that I mean I wish you the best, but I would keep trying to find keywords under or around a mil search results and maybe with a higher bid like $5+..
You want to make it worth your time. But if you think you can grab number 1 go for it, if you don't think it's possible then don't bother.

I won't start a website unless the competition is high, competition is a good thing, it shows a strong interest in the product and healthy search volume.
Unless these are pump and dump sites, you want a high goal to reach, not a small goal.

I think it is just about right. Not too much competition, but it seems there are buyers in the niche anyways. So I believe you ought to build a website on it

I'd start a website about something you're interested in. You'll give it more attention and create better content about something you actually care about.
