And there's something called an "international wire transfer" which solves that problem.

Circle and Coinbase make it very easy to buy bitcoins.

For Bitcoin, go with the company with the most funding - security is everything. Coinbase in this case - Xapo and some others are also well funded, but Coinbase is leading atm.

Does the exchange need to reside in the US? Or just use dollars as the primary currency? If you only need dollar then Bitfinex and OKCoin are much better exchanges, operating from Hong Kong and China respectively.

Stick with coinbase and localbitcoins. Can't go wrong with them if you do it right

We would say Coinbase but it also depends on if you are looking into other features like debit card altcoin markets and so on // Cryptocoinzone

bitcoin is good but make sure you follow all their conditions and regulations or at one time you will wake to get your coins held for no apparent known reason and you shall have no one to blame. just an advice to avoid being ignorant/ thanks
