Hi bhwers,

I have read many times on bhw and other forums that non-USA Commission Junction affiliates having problem in getting approved by advertisers to promote their products/programs.

Here are a few tricks to get higher approval rate for all of you.

1. Add as many other niches BLOGS (not sites) in your CJ Account.
(Auto Approvals)

I have been with CJ for the past 2.5 years and I see this very unique pattern whereby advertisers basically matches their product niche with your sites. I have done and tested this, it works. Go to blog directories, get all kind of blogs from different niches and add them in your CJ account. This will basically show them that you promote a lot of stuff and you are some sort of "big" affiliate.

2. When you first sign up with CJ, add in your marketing method as PPC. I am not aware if you can change it now but give it a try.
(Auto and Manual Approvals)

3. Promote a few products that you got approved and make at least 2-3 payouts ($300 - $400). By time you'll be longer in CJ and a trusted affiliate. Advertisers see this as well before approving you.
(Manual approvals)

If you still have problem in getting approved, contact the advertisers directly and tell them your plan about promoting their products or programs using PPC marketing. You can throw up a simple landing page for their product/program to make them more confident on your plans.

Auto Approvals = advertisers automatically approves you by matching your account data and performances with their unique system and requirements.

Manual Approvals = advertiser's team will review your account, ask for more info from CJ such as what offers you promoted and how is your traffic + sales/leads quality like.

Hope it helps :)

Great post! Good idea about adding different niche blogs to your CJ account.

Thanks! Had been declined several times, did this trick and all of a sudden am being approved.

Glad someone is taking an action on this and getting approvals :)

Hey Affguy08!

Once you are approved by an advertiser can you promote that advertiser on any of your sites or do you have to get approval for each site you are planning to promote them on? Do I have to have a different PID number for each site, or can I use the same one? Basically the sites will be the same, except for the domain names.

example:
Say I have a widgetsite, I apply to the advertiser and am approved using that site. Now I also want to promote that advertiser on my bluewidgets and redwidgets sites. Do I still need to have them approve me for each of those sites also? I just had alittle trouble with CJ, so I want to make sure I am operating correctly.

Thanks in advance for your advice!

Hi Keywestluvr,

You can use any site to promote an advertiser's offer once they approve you because they approves your account to promote them (your account consist of other sites too).

The basic behind this idea is to prepare your account in a manner that the advertisers want to see :)

No problem man, just add sites that are in popular niches. Make sure check their whois + add blogs will be better.

What would we be looking for concerning the whois? Do we only look for private whois?

Just to confirm here - Im adding blogs which I did not actually create/own.

Can they not determine this if somebody else does exactly the same thing and we add the same site?... Does this actually work?

hmmm AFFguy is now banned.Wonder what he meant????
seems like he was sayin to add blogs that you didn't own,can anyone shed some light on this please--thx

I think another damn issue is depend on your location. Some advertiser is restrict to certain country as you also can see they reject you immediately even did not review your approval status.

Anyhow, they also want to make more money and same to us. I believe there are loopholes. Let we dig it up.

I had not thought of adding random blogs in different niches, but I tried it and it does work and I am now getting approved to more programs that I was before I added a bunch of sites.

Is this method still working?? And what countries are you from that made it hard to get approved?

Thanks for your replies.

Hello, i am new at bhw, and am impressed by all the knowledge here :D
Once you are approved and you have more pid's you can just use the other pids for the one you have been approved. I mean, you can put the links from the approved pid on your other sites... no problemo. Only thing what is happening then is that your tracking overview is 'not correct' anymore. Everything will show up under your approved pid.
Other thing is, if you want a higher approval rate, make your profile as if you are a big shark... putting 0-500 visitors per month does not make you look like a big shark :D

Not really your location, more the location of your site :D
Many (small) advertisers only deliver to their own country. And of course political issues play a role too. Delivering to a country where the advertiser has no legal representation... That is asking for trouble.

So... make use of geotargeting. Let us say you target Iran; then find advertisers in Iran and show your ads to the peoples of Iran... and nearby countries. No loopholes, just little-bit using your head.
