how pinterest suspends my accounts

i almost have had enough of pinterest after just 3 weeks.

i can hardly believe how they suspend my accounts: they black list my site. (maybe there is a way to know this?) i have the site url listed with account X. i posted some 4 pins in the span of 3 weeks. (hardly spamming compared to those who spam the hell out of some group boards.) i then repin from account A, and B. the second i repin, the account is gone. its like hard-wired switch! i had to try account B to find out why. so they left me account X live for what? this really doesnt make sense. so what if my follower repin my pin? they got suspended too? one thing i am not sure is i wonder if i repin to my own board (instead of a group board), will i be suspended?

from what i've gathered from all the journey posts here, pinterest is prolly not worth the time. 1 of the journeys manage to make $1k a month, which is the most i have found. also based on my observation, there is not really such a thing as blackhat pinterest. all i have found so far is some serious projects with a well-established blog which in turn lead to a well-established store (or affiliates). i do see some recipe spamming leading to adsense sites.

my conclusion is that you cannot just create stores with many items, and have pins linking to the stores. i seriously dont see that working. if so, to run an amazon store, i might as well just try to rank the site on google. why do i even need pinterest?

The reason why you are having such problems is because you are using group boards.

Fuck that shit, start pinning to one master account and repinning to all of your other accounts.

Get a bot and start mass following the fuck out of people on all of those accounts.

Only pin about 30-50 pins a day or everyother day if you want to be safe.


Eventually you will get your site blocked and just create a new domain and start over again.You will still have all of your followers left fine.

I used to make about 20 bucks a day with 15 accounts.

I have been working on other projects latley but I am still making 5 bucks a day and I have not even touched pinterest in 3 months.

Anyways, returning to the OP, the thing about pinterest:
-You need to make multiple sites (to avoid banning and easy detection)
-Establish an account for 2 weeks (making boards + repinning + liking + following) without pinning from outside
-After 2 weeks, start pinning from outside
-After 2000 followers, start group-board pins while mixing the sites + accounts.

for my 1st suspended account, i emailed them. they said i spammed. that one was even more ridiculous. i think what i did there was to repin a random pin BACK TO the same group board. it was not even my own shit.

emailing sucks. for a simple reason, i cannot access gmail (on which the pinterest accounts are based) because i accidentally messed up my proxies. an experience i learned here: NEVER USE GMAIL to create accounts! unless there is a way to get around the google text verification?

making multiple sites WAS my plan, set up dreamwidth,live journal, blogspot, and my sites.

then i realize that will NOT work. i simply cannot sell anything by linking to e-commerce sites. no-brainers cannot make money, if i had learned anything at all. i need someone to tell me i am so wrong!

i have not really followed much. in fact, i haven't had much activity in 3 weeks. i have spent most of the time building ecommerce sites which might have turned out to be a waste..?

has anybody make substantial amount of money using pinterest? that's what i really like to know.

dont mean to discourage you. i am pretty sure you can make money doing pinterest+adsense, most definitely.

Well I am only running 15 accounts, I just like to work on little side projects here and there.
If I were to have 100 accounts think about how much I could make with it. I am only using adsense so think about how much I could make if I optimized amazon onto my site.

In fact I think I might start with that pretty soon lol.

1. You have to establish some authority on your profiles before you start repinning into group boards. Authority = repin popular pins daily, follow other profiles, like, comment. After a while start repinning into group boards and you won't be suspended immediatelly. Expect suspensions in a matter of 1-2 weeks, depending on how much you repin. Pinterest has amped the anti-spam algos and as soon as they figure out you're gaming the system, they suspend your accounts.

2. Pinterest is increasingly harder last couple weeks. I lost 90% of my traffic, and am on a verge to leave it completely. I might go out with a bang, I have some unused accounts. Thinking about burning them all for a big payday and then hastalavista pinterest.

3. MFA sites are not viable any more, long-term at least. Going with some affiliate sites of higher quality or something of such kind seems to be one of the only few ways left to get traffic and make money.

Yeah proxies are a bitch and are quite expensive. I guess you could start with 50 accounts and save up a little bit to get more.

Gotta spend money to make money bro.

Yes I just scrape popular pinterest images and throw my URL in them. Remember that you want to pin those images 1 account and repin to others so if that main account gets banned (never happened to me) you will still have all the other accounts working fine.

I'm not going to lie to you starting with pinterest is boring as fuck the first month is just being patient. Once you start building authority, that's when you make the money.

Patience is the key to this method.

before you lost the traffic, how much have you been making daily? with how many accounts? i assume it was mostly by adsense?

With 5 accounts at one point I was making 7-8€/day. My sites have low CTR compared to what some guys report here on BHW (I'm at 2% while some guys are hitting 6%+), so I could've been making more with the traffic I was getting. Now, it's all almost pointless, since I can barely scrape any traffic.

Pinterest is a pain now. I have lost 3 websites which was 60% of the traffic and earning accordingly.
There should be an authority on the accounts you create. Make sure you use one proxy per account. After two weeks or so, when that account gets some pins, followers etc. you may create another account under the same proxy (up to 3 accounts per proxy).
Also, they have changed their ranking algorithms, so my pins do not appear in the Popular section anymore, to make them come there I have to use some dirty technique which I don't really like, but the goal is to make money with the smile on my lips or without it.
I was really happy when they disallowed affiliate links, so it cut most of lazy and noob IMers who have been spamming a lost posting a direct link to the amazon store.

i wonder if anybody successfully use the repin count to boost pinterest search rank? and if that's an effective way of doing it? from what i see, the repin count is worth something for sure. however, the time it takes to see the rank is probably very long, in the ball park of 0.5 years? from what i see, pinterest rank probably helps ranking in google IMAGE.

I doubt that Pinterest ranking algorithms have any relation to Google ranking.
