Yes, MGTOW has lots of cogent things to say about modern male-female interactions in the western world, but in essence it's a mirror image of feminism. For example, one of the main valid points feminists make is that women are very often 'used and abused' by men, and so ought to have the option of being valued as an independent person, not for what utility they serve for men. Feminists
say this, then incoherently, do not acknowledge that women very often use and abuse men. They also only selectively seek "equality" with men, instead only pushing for special protections in the law, or advocate for public benefits that essentially replace men with government as a "provider" or source of economic stability.
MGTOW throws this into reverse mode, by saying (again, validly) that men are very often 'used and abused' by women, and so ought to have the option of being valued as an independent person, not for the emotional or economic support they provide for women. MGTOWs

They also only selectively seek "independence" from women, instead choosing to rant about them almost endlessly, or advocate for casual loveless relations, essentially replacing women and marriage with porn or promiscuity as a source of sexual satisfaction.
Both MGTOW and feminism are inconsistent, negatively framed, and self-centered approaches to modern gender interactions. Both start with "it's about me, who cares if the other sex experiences the same problems, and I won't be this or that." Both also tend to extrapolate flaws with American men or women in the last few decades into reflections covering the other gender for the entirety of civilization. A common MGTOW acronym is AWALT (all women are like that) which is thrown around liberally, as if a post feminist US woman with a manipulative sense of entitlement is identical to a Philipino lady who is traditional and submissive to the bone. Many feminists likewise sweepingly argue "all men are latently rapists" based on modern men often using booze to soften up a girl to get laid. The feminist version of AWALT is AMAP (all men are pigs).
MGTOWs like the post-sexual revolution environment that has normalized non-marital sex, without acknowledging that is the factor that has given women more ammo to manipulate men. As MGTOWs tirelessly point out, many current women typically are functionally splitting their male relations up, making 24/7 whoopee with their 'alpha male' stud, while calling up the beta male 'white knight' they have friend zoned, to complain about the alpha guy. Man #1 is for X, man #2 is for Y, etc.
These women use beta men for emotional support, while still teasing them with the possibility of sex to keep them invested---but this would not be acceptable behavior if western society had not embraced casual sex. So MGTOWs ought to at least have a love-hate attitude towards the new morality. Since they don't, it appears they only want 'to go their own way' part of the time, then go right back to women the rest of the time when it suits them, for commitment free sex. It's a selfish, selective and love-less mindset, dressed up to look like a positive movement.
