Is it Still Worth 300 views & Unlisted?

It's only worth if you want a video to go up a bit higher than in normal way...for the few hours then it disappears and so does your YT account because those often really easy to take down...
Weirdly, I found that uploading videos as Private has a better effect.
One of my channels has a couple of copyright strikes (which means the unlisted option isn't available) so I upload as Private, give each video roughly 40 to 50 high retention views, just using multiple tabs with the same browser & IP, spread the views over 6 hours & then make them public.
Since doing this, I've found my videos tend to stick on the front page for 24 to 48 hours & there's no risk of deletion.
Also, I used to upload about 8 to 10 videos per day (using this method) but I found that only a couple of the videos were making it to the front page. Since then I've cut back to just uploading two videos per day (still using the same method) & both videos make it to the front page every time .. dunno why!?!
By the way, not sure if you can really call it `a method' or if there's other factors involved .. but it works for me.

I just view my private videos using the old multiple tabs method, if that's what you're asking?

At least get an imacros addon for firefox at set it to auto refresh,seriously...
Ok, I think I will still boost to 300 to get a few views, if only it shows the video as more active to the viewer. I might still unlist and get some social media sharing going before going public. I have always done it like this so might as well keep doing it if there is no issues.
Both FF and Chrome have refresh apps, I use the Auto Refresh Plus one as it gives me random numbers I can impute.

Yes people still use the unlisted method and it still works in most niches. Of course if the comp is too high it won't work.
