Using eBay as a parasite?

I'm not an seo guy but I remember reading about parasites on here and blasting links to authority sites will rank them. Would blasting an item on ebay help rank it in google? or even on ebay?

Not much if at all, because google penalizes eBay listings partly because people were doing stuff like that, and eBay lists by sellthrough and DSR ratings of the account before seo becomes a factor.

it helps your ebay seo,so you rank more often on the top page if your seller goes by related item and not lowest price,etc.
