Kickstarter Project - What should I do?

Hey people,

i prepared a Kickstarter Project and would like to launch it tomorrow.

What should I do to get it "viral"?

Any tips to spread it over social media? I dont have many followers on twitter and facebook.

Any other tips?

Maybe you should try facebook group poster, reddit and post to some forums?

It's hard to predict a "viral" project. Try to reach out to some facebook pages within your niche or if there is a page where they share funny/cool/interesting Kickstarter projects?

Put up a post on Reddit and hope that it get received well, people on there love to put their money into projects.
Someone got 55k USD to make a potato salad... Project here!

It really depends on the type of campaign you'll be launching.
Posting it on reddit if great if it's a new gadget or app.

I would highly recommend you set up a thunderclap campaign before the launch of the KickStarter campaign.
Once you've gathered a lot of social reach, you run your thunderclap campaign at the same time as the launch of your KickStarter.

I've seen this do wonders a couple of times.

The Kickstarter Project will be about a vegan and healthy candy we have "developed".

The problem with reddit is that my accounts are getting shadowbanned instantly after i register and how to get real upvotes easier? there are so many people posting on reddit.

i will try to contact vegan blogs on twitter but i'm not sure whether it will get any real social exposure.

Do you have any tips how the project could get better ranked on the kickstarter website?

and i dont really know anything about marketing. this is why i'm asking. no blog is answering my emails. so its a little bit hard for me right now.

You can use some of the free sites like addmefast and well, followliker isnt free but use that, too. It helps if you have multiple, aged social media accounts.

You can promote it to charities, or if you are lucky enough go to local events and easily hand out details to the people interested in your booth if it really that large of a project.

Otherwise referred publicity is simply the greatest idea in terms of promotion.

you can try sharing with all social medias like fb, g+, twitter, pinit & linked it. it will go viral to the members. it can get kickstarter your project. Marketing is not an easy one do it well buddy.

Someone did some reverse engineering and apparently (from what I remember):

You want to have a kick ass video that explains the product/idea.

You want to have at least 1000+ likes to your page, and a couple of hundred tweets/google+

And you want to have people READY to donate (i.e have friends / family with cash) the day you post your kick stater and reach like 20% of your target on the first day.



If ya do that apparently you'll hit the front page and also get a mention in their email.


The rest will be history!

Hey mate. yes the first link is our project.

The candy bar is about 30 cm to 50 cm long....we aren't trying to do any usual candies. thats why they look much different.

but still we could change the rewards if someone has some tips for us.

EDIT: yes we are from germany and yes nobody we know has money to offer. we are studying and thats very expensive if u dont have rich parents.

There is no way to know it will be viral, it'll depend on the person viewing. If it's good, he'll share and so on. It's good to share on most social profiles, see where it'll go. GL
