This week a lot of my accounts got suspended...
and I think the reason twitter knew about my accounts, is that I was retweeting my other accounts and all of the accounts are linked to each other via retweeting and favoriting tweets.

I lost so many followers and I learned my lesson the hard way!
I will not do it anymore, if you want your accounts to be safe don't retweet your accounts, don't make them follow each other...
also don't tweet the same tweet (text and URL) in all of your account this may trigger twitter ban.

That's what got you banned. As long as you're using proxies, you should be able to intermingle retweets and favorites between all your accounts.

I'm sorry to hear that

Were you doing this manually? I was looking for a auto method a few days ago http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/twitter/752990-auto-retweet-tool.html#post7925715

Of course you can retweet and favourite between accounts, do you think they are going to ban everyone that retweets?

Do not leave a footprint. That's all you need to be careful about.

I have 10 accounts, 1 main and 9 secondary accounts.

All secondary retweet the main account based on #hashtag. Plus all 9 secondary also have rss feeds attached to them to make them all random.

Every account is on a different proxy also.

Was you using proxies?

You were doing yours on a small scale.

You were doing yours on a small scale.

Very true. Always good to play it safe.

Wonder how many he was using before getting banned?

More info would be interesting, especially if people are looking to scale it up

the more thing you forgot to add for remaining safe with multiple accounts is using private proxies

I was telling people about retweeting and all that shit long time ago, it just doesn't look good.

But are wrong about the same tweet and url.

There are like 1000's of account tweeting the same tweet every hour, you have people tweeting the same article the same url from big sites every time and I don't see twitter banning people for that lol.

I am doing the same every day, every few hours on my 40+ accounts and I don't have any problem.

I would also like to know, how many accounts??

All the ones here using twitter with many different accounts, how many accounts per one proxy do you recommend using?
I use two accounts per proxy, but maybe I could have more accounts?

You're going to eventually get banned anyway unless you're a legitimate business. Twitter is a bunch of devious bitches. They allow spammers but only to the point they can make a profit off them. It's the keep 'em coming technique they use so they can make money off us internet marketers also.

Thanks for sharing this . Should be more careful and this will make you more. Still Twitter is much more flexible then facebook.

I never retweet or follow between my accounts. It's suicide, as is sharing the same links from the same domains at the same time.

Once in a while, I was retweeting in my accounts. I thought I was professional on this such that one random account tweets and another 100+ account retweets with 25% probability in random times in next half an hour (that means each of my tweets got average of 25 rt's each being retweeted by different accounts). Randomizing everything in such a scheme even didnt help me. My all accounts got suspended.

I think twitter works like this. It regularly checks some ramdomly selected accounts or reported as spammy ones. If the account is decided to be spammy and fake then their security algorithm takes a screenshot of homepage of that account including all tweets, retweets, etc. After that all connected accounts are getting under review. Finally, most of your accounts are suspended!

Did your accounts followed each other? Did you use private proxies? How about well known practice Rt4 Rt? A lot of ppl are doing that. Big acc retweeting small accounts for money or their own accounts to grow them. How they are doing it? Or all of them are getting suspended sooner or later? Any safe ways to rt your own accounts?

so i did a little reading about these social media spam detection systems. there are two ways they do it:
live detection - which focuses mainly on intervals between user actions and amount of them. simply comparing the data to their massive db of real users. as for links - at that stage they are simply checked against blacklist. so if your link is new. it should not raise any flags.
Other stage is analysing just about anything about every user account in certain periods of time. possibly weekly. about what you tweet, about people who you follow, (follower-following ratio is important to their filters), about links you post, times of the day you are active etc. algorithms are pretty complex - and up to 98% accurate :(
Surely the most important thing is posting links. So every link posted on twitter has it's own reputation which is measured by checking how many real vs fake (good rep, bad rep) accounts have tweeted particular link. for example if link has been retweeted, liked from 90 fake accs and 10 real. it obviously has bad reputation. also variety of links (and reputation for each) is checked for every user tweeting. so if you want your account not to have bad reputation - post some youtube, vine, news etc. links before your money maker. they give links (and accounts) some time to 'ripen'. so if you have fast campaign it shouldn't be a problem.
also what i found interesting about these detection systems is that ip address almost always is the least thing they are interested in ;)
