i know most of you will already know this, but a tip for newbies - content is king!

If you post crap content then you will struggle to even get your site indexed these days. As a test i generated a couple of spammy web2.0's using highly spun content and then used www.onehourindexing.co to get them indexed. After one hour 2 properties had been indexed, by the next morning none were indexed. Google are getting good at not even indexing shit content.

Sorry to hear. But i have no problem getting 200,000+ pages (unreadable content just for search engines) in a week per domain.

Cheers

Same. I ran a test a month ago and was indexing terrible, respun content. If you're looking for a long-term white hat site though, then yes, content is king.

This article has nothing to do with "content quality". There are thousands of domains popping up on serps daily with more shittier content than yours and have hundreds of thousands autogenerated content indexed and redirecting the visitors to converting content.

Cheers

Cool story bro. Never had any problems getting indexed scraped spun unreadable content. Have sites with unreadable content bringing in traffic for a year now.

even shitty autoblogs can get indexed
content is only king if it converts to sales or achieves a target you set

I don't agree OP with your statement.
True that content is playing big role in conversion and quality of the overall site but for linkbuilding purposes not really.

They are many factor other then the content to blame for the deindexing. I bet if you do the same steps with unique hand written content you would probably get deindext again.

No offense, but your case study and your conclusion are not well constructed.

Looking at your Web 2.0's you obviously took the same 2 paragraphs, applied some light spin, uploaded it to dozens of sites using orphan pages and thought you would get high indexing rates?

You can jam 1000's of pages of scraped spun content into the index no problem at all; but you can't use exact same content and expect it to work.... little tiny spins on a few words is not going to cut it by any means. Google spots that, and spots it rather easily.

Try your experiment again with several hundred pages of scraped, utra spun, mashed together content, make sure the pages pass Copyscape first, then put them up on the Web 2.0's and run your indexing solution/build links to the Web 2.0's. You'll have tons of content indexed. To take it a step further, don't just rely on a single orphan page on the property. Set up a user profile, like/comment other pages on the site, reblog, use whatever interaction functionality the Web 2.0's have within their CMS to connect the new page to other existing pages, and the majority of your content will be indexed with no problem what so ever.

Content enagages readers, content leads to conversions, but for Rankings Links are King, always have been, and will continue to be for at least the immediate future.
