I'm just going to get right to it... Yoast is completely crap and you shouldn't be using it to determine your final keyword density. I say this because I've been doing a lot of site audits for people recently and Jesus christ I've seen some high density, complete website killers that google will bitch slap us for. It's not our fault though, Yoast can only calculate what's in the <body> tag.. only just.

Most people would already know this and some will tell me I don't know what I'm talking about so I'll just go through it with some images.

First let's looks at the final Yoast density for one of my niche websites pages.

Now let's look at the real density.

Massive difference. Now let's look at the final Page density. Including page titles and whatever else it picks up on that page like SEO titles etc.

So we have Yoast telling us the body density is 0.66%, But really It's 3.0%. Then we have a total of 4.4% because Yoast doesn't calculate titles etc.

Anyhow, if you're serious about ranking and on-page SEO then I suggest finding a good website audit program or pay someone to do it. Can you imagine the real density of the pages people optimise to 2.0%+ with Yoast.... The real numbers are cringe worthy. I can't speak for any other plugin because I haven't used them, I just use Yoast as a guideline while typing.

Edit: Can't even spell the title of this thread correctly :lmao:Them beers getting to me. Ignore the thumbnail at the bottom, I'm testing things. Uploaded by mistake.

Good info for noobs. U dont have to use a third party tool to play in the safe side. Put ur keyword in h1 tag in the first paragraph and 3-4 times in content and thats it. Using ur keyword13 times its a bit too much.

Yes correct 13 is way too much, I'm testing something at the moment. It won't be 13 for long. This is more pointed to the people who go for high density with Yoast not realising they are super over optimizing everything.

That is what i have experienced with yaost and now it has also started to mess up titles

lol, I do. that's not the point of this....... The point is for the newbies killing websites with Yoast and not realising it.

like 33% of traffic should come from your main keywords, and the rest LSI use each word once, and that's where most of your traffic will come from.

There's so much faster ways of getting a bottom-line, have you considered getting google tech support to set up campaigns for you? I got them to setup a few lol or did I dun dun dun, or even bing people will do that, all I'm trying to say is don't depend on SEO, use other methods, cuz SEO is a waste of stress, use youtube, linkedin, fb, PPV, PPC management people that get paid on results, etc. GO EAT SOME CEREAL

You're completely missing my point... This thread was to help newbies who rely on that plugin. I'm testing something with that site and no I don't rely on SEO. I didn't upload the site for suggestions, it was an example. I bank around 30k a month of Fb PPC. http://www.onlinedimes.com/make-money-on-facebook/ I don't like cereal.. any other suggestions on what I should be eating?
