I want a Student writer for a legit whitehat Tech blog.
The student will obviously have a lot of knowledge of tech/hardware.

How much should I pay? I will be buying 10 Articles, 500 Words each per day.

That's 5,000 Words per day, (150,000 Words per month).

---

I will be providing him with:

- Keywords
- Images
- Video about what he has to write about if he doesn't understand it
- Title

----

I was thinking 1$/100 words, but this would be $1,500 USD per month cost :( which is high.

What do you guys think?

$1 for 100 words is quite good price for you, did you already her/his articles? Are they good enough?

No I haven't yet hired anyone, I will post that I need someone probably in september. I will write articles since I have time in summer.

First check the quality of articles, and when hire. In my opinion those prices that you said are quite low. So if it is high quality articles, hire him.

The money you are paying for that job are ok I think. I would do that if I could :)

I understand that for random articles it's low. But for very similar articles and constant job why is it low?

1,500$ a month for student to work a couple hours a day is low? I think it's high.

Quality matters, so as I have already told you, GO FOR IT!

All right thanks, I'll try and see how my own articles do first and see my site ranks well.
Since I hopefully will have 1,000 Articles after summer.

Lol you want 5k words per day for $50 and you consider that expensive. A good scraper + wordAi will get you better quality than someone willing to do that work.

If I hire someone at minimum wage, that's 5 hours of work per day.

If you can't write 5000 words in 5 hours you need help. It takes me 2 - 3 hours max.

2 -3 hours to write 10 informative articles for a tech blog? Ok... you must be some kind of superhero.
I`ll go and look for help now.

I do it like this:

- Study the the thing you want to talk about and get pictures of it, and maybe video (5mins - 10mins max) (Remember I know what I'm talking about, this isn't random stuff this is stuff I already know)
- Use speech to text software and just read over the tech page and just talk about product the way you want to, takes like 3 mins to get 500 - 700 words.
- Edit it manually and add proper punctuation etc (I do this while it writes the software, add punctuation is easier than speaking punctuation), this takes 5mins.

Total: 13 - 18 mins per article.

10 articles 130 - 180 mins.

OP, if you can write that much, then good for you. Do you think a student writer will already have that knowledge base?

Again, if you can get a student churning out content like that, then again, good for you. Seriously, but 5k words a day for a full-time college student is a lot.

Anyway, to get to your question: $1/100words IS cheap if it is high-quality content from a native English speaker. But since you think that is expensive, you need to change your paradigm. Don't think cost per word, think cost per hour. Most college jobs pay just at or under $10/hour. If you could get by paying only around $20-30 a day, then your monthly cost will be greatly reduced.

Yea problem with paying per hour is then they will slack off and not write as much as I need.
Maybe I should pay for 5 articles (2.5k words) a day for 25$ a day.

it's a fair price if you're looking for a student from a third world country...

i doubt you'll find a native writer that will work for such a low price, you are also
expecting them to do a lot of research, watch actual videos etc...

if you do find such a cheap writer, send me his/hers details :)

No I am not expecting research. I will only hire them if they know what they will write about. No research required. 0 hours spent on research needed.
I will only hire students who like Tech and have it as a hobby so they know what they're writing about.

even then that's super cheap for a native writer... you'll most likely get someone who curates/plagiarizes their content...

i had a native writer form fiverr who wrote amazing content super fast (5$ per 400 words), it turned out she was simply curating it from around the web...

and from your first post, you want them to watch a video if they don't know the subject, and even if they know about the subject they'll still need to do a bit of research... they are sure to miss some details otherwise.

would you work for 1$ per 100 words if you were a student? i rather work at McDonalds, it'll be easier...

2$ per 100 is the minimum in my personal opinion, and even that might be cheap for some...

1$ per 100 words I would work for if I know the subject and needed money yes.
I already wrote, I can write 10 articles in around 3 hrs. That's 50$/3 hours, better than minimum wage.

this is the kind of job that most people pay by the word, 1$ for 100 words is considered low quality content (simply check the writers here on BHW that take that price). a native content writer will simply laugh....

YOU can write 10 articles in 3 hours, most people can't and won't. if you are willing to pay a person for 1 500 words article per 1 hour then certainly 50$ for 3 hours is fair... but you'll never get a person who will write 10 articles within 3 hours with no research for 50$ - unless you want curated content that is...

if you can write that fast, then i don't see a reason why you wouldn't do it yourself, at least at first until you start making a profit from you website... then you can pay an actual fair amount for a quality native writer.

this is my personal opinion of course, you might find a sucker who'll take the job...

by the way, i'll certainly hire you for 1$ per 100 words if you can crank up good original articles super fast.

scratch that... i just saw your iTrade score:
