How long does it take for backlinks to appear?

I have backlinks for my business from really reputable blogs that I sent free products to.

However, they aren't showing up! Some links show up in a couple days, but not the ones I want! (high quality ones)

How long do they take to appear? Majestic SEO isn't seeing them, neither is webmaster tools.

Try to check the cache of the blog to see if it contain your link or in g00gle search try "link:yourwebsite.com" and look for those blogs in search results.

Thanks, I searched with the link: mywebsite.com and the links I was looking for didn't show up. How do I go about viewing the cache?

Is it bad that my links didn't show up in the search?

I mean they are clearly in the blogs - I'm just not getting any link juice from them and MajesticSEO (and it seems google) isnt seeing them yet.

The links went up about a week ago.

BTW as you can tell I'm not an SEO guys, I use paid traffic.

What kind of link do you built from reputable blogs? like contextual link or profile link, etc..

Check in Ahrefs OP.

majestic SEO takes more time to get backlinks indexed than Ahrefs.

It varies greatly. Some links can show up in a few days others might take month or two. Ahrefs and Majestic's Fresh are the fastest to update their links, but they will still never show all the backlinks because they don't have that type of power. Many people use both services because they will show different links. And all those links don't necessarily match to all the links Google finds. Even Google will not find and keep all the links indexed so keep that in mind. You have to build and try to be patient (and it's hard for all of us). Moz's index is very slow to update and I would use that if I wanted another source that was looking at more historical data, like competitive link mining.

If you don't use those services you can usually find someone to run a report for you for here or at a popular site to find cheap gigs.

What are you using to check your links. If the links are live and the google cache is updated to take your link into account, you are good to go.

Google knows that backlink is there within a few hours, tops. They index pretty much every tweet and blog post on the planet within a few minutes of their being posted.

Whether or not they make that information public shouldn't really matter in the long run.
