Do you think organic results are still as relevant as they were years ago?

I personally think they are and hope I'm not deluding myself by going after them for my ecommerce/specialty website. I don't think ads were as prominent a few years back like they are now on Google so hope seo is still worth the months of investment it can take to rank high.

Thanks

Yes, they are still relevant. At least they better be since I spend a lot of time and money every week ranking my sites.

If I had to guess... I would say yes. How wouldn't it be? People are always going to use google to search for things.

Of course they are, that's where the real money comes from, long term and quite stable if done right. You can also do it with paid traffic, with social media, but these require constant attention, if you manage the top place in google you're set.

For just about 9/10 sites yes, there are very small exceptions to the rule.

I love dominating the SERPs, practically free traffic once you hit the top spots. Who doesn't love free traffic?

Getting that #1 spot is obviously still worth it but now a days it takes a lot more skill and a bit more money (and also patience). So it really depends on how badly you want it.

The day that page 1, and indeed number 1, is not 'worth it' will be the day that 'the cloud' already knows what you want and delivers it to you before you know you want it...

Until then, people will continue to search for stuff as and when they need it - and whilst they're doing that, I'll be there to cash in.

yes they do buddy... Whatever money keywords your going to rank for, It is going to make you some money..
I Hope atleast 70% of people here in BHW are making money through organic traffic..

Yes, organic results are absolutely still relevant. I get a lot of traffic from organic results. And as mentioned above - most of the investment is up front. Paid traffic has to be paid forever. Once you get to the top of the organic results the maintenance to stay there is relatively "easy".

Google top 5 is where the real money is.

Inorganic traffic like google adwords has never worked for.

At the same time, getting ranked in google top 5 is really tough

It's really worth it. Many people are still searching everything on google and only click the first few links. How higher you are how better.

No not anymore. The new thing in SEO is to get on page 2 no1 spot that's much better!

If you can't make it then put an add up in the local paper on the FrontPage that's even better.

I believe that Organic searches are still worth the effort. Even Youtube is considered a search engine. If you have a juicy keyword you can make money from it is good to touch on a variety of properties and tactics to help you on the way. Good Luck

Yeah, page 2 is all the rage these days. Just last month someone contacted me asking me to rank their competitors' sites on page 1 to push their own rankings to page 2.
:joke:

Google is where 98% of my traffic comes from. I would like to get 25 to 40% social media traffic so I don't depend on Google but it has not worked for me yet.
