I have a page with 1300 followers and decent engagement - I uploaded three images today, one has 140 likes w/ 18 comments, another 152 w/ 7 comments, and I uploaded one an hour ago that has 65 likes. Over 10% engagement seems amazing, so assuming I stay consistent with my page could I expect that engagement to stay the same or will it lower a little as the page gets big? I see a lot of pages with way more followers and less post engagement.. I assume these people just bought some bs fake followers?

Technically, yes. Same with Facebook pages.

They want to sell ads and if your page had large organic reach, you'd just keep posting content and making $. To take your cash, they need to limit reach more and more.

Same with Google and organic search.

It will always be on a slow but constant decline. People become inactive over time. The more time left alone, the more inactive they will be. They're following you, but they don't like your photos which means your activity percentage will slowly go down. With that said, the number of likes you receive should be on a steady and constant rise.

Highway robbery, what facebook is doing by making people pay for engagement from their own followers is wrong and should be illegal.

Yes, i notice most pages with 200k+ usually have around a 2-4% like engagement

Which would seem like shit to most people.

Yep!
It will decline, as others said, some acc get inactive.

I got 1% with my 45K account...

Well this happened to me and I'm starting to notice that it's because of all the blocking I've had and all. Take things slowly and you will be good I think. And yes these pages buy fake followers most of the time.

My consistent 8%-10% engagement usually drops between 10k or 20k from my experience.
