Made a simple google search about the current population , came across to this : http://www.worldometers.info

is the data provided accurate in any way ? If yes that's really shocking

Think its not real data as i seen birth today is 100000+ when death today is only 41000+

What's shocking, people have been predicting humans will die from overpopulation "in the next decades" since 1850. Chill. :)

of course it is , I am not talking about the population actually , it was the search term that brought me to that site , have a look at the data at the health section , cigarettes and illegal drugs , well that's crazy lol

is this some complex code that calculates everything.... 0.o I think so, it doesn't seems legit but at the same time it does lol

I didn't even see anything below population the first time lol. Some of the numbers look good, of course a lot I would have no clue about but I would have to guess that it's pretty close

Its based on census information from past few years from various nations and studies, its probably 85 to 90% accurate.

We will definitely be our own demise. Humans are so selfish.

The increasing numbers make an alarming impression, however those are just average numbers which you can Google yourself.

True. I always have been learned that 1 person dies every 3 seconds. going a bit faster now. Its scary to realize haha

I am not shocking but depressed. Because population is increasing rapidly. So, it's normal.

I scared now. This data is true ??

The earth can support much more people then there is now and with a better average quality of life than currently. But their are too many regulations that get in the way. For example you can't just open a nuclear power plant in most of the world without massive amounts of protests that prevent it from happening.

There is also alot of land that can be reclaimed for farming as well as land where there isn't farming going on since gov'ts are paying people to not farm. There are also lots of crops being grown for fuel for example in the USA 40% of corn is used for fuel.
