I was talking to someone not long ago who said they worked in IM for a large company. He said they spend thousands and thousands on SEO just to keep up and then stated that doing SEO as an individual would cost a whole lot more than it would make you. He kinda put me off it a bit, especially being new to all this. It makes sense, but is it true?

Anyway what do you guys think about writing about a favourite sports team. I'm thinking of writing about Liverpool FC and would enjoy doing it but dya reckon if it'll be able to make any money? how does one see if a niche is profitable beforehand (from examples)?

The point of the method is so that you don't rely on SEO. That's why everyone is doing commenting. The idea is to get traffic from all the comments you leave on blogs, facebook, news sites, etc. Might I suggest in the nicest way possible, that before you post another question, reread the thread. i know method works but the fact that ive seen good success in a short period of time is starting to get me on the wrong track, expecting results the same day i post comments.

Just wanted to chime in and let everybody know that I worked for a few hours almost a week or two ago, didn't make any initial sales, but I just checked my CB stats today and here are the results:

All I did was that I made a simple one-page review site and posted a few comments -- remember, I didn't make any sale at start and I had almost stopped. It only happened today that I made a sale from the comments which were posted a week or two ago, and that only took me an hour or two.

I've reread the link in OP a few times and now fully understand it. Seems pretty straightforward and I'm thinking of doing a few reviews of some Clickbank products on weight loss. Thing is I've never written a review before, would anyone be helpful to post links to their successful reviews or other examples so I can get the jist from? Also, for a noob who would put the hours in commenting daily on blogs/websites etc, how long approximately would it take to start earning money? Would it take months or..? thanks in advance

"How long approximately would it take to start earning money?" - No one can tell you when you will earn money. It depends on your site and your comments but if it takes you a month of commenting you're doing something wrong

weight loss product is easily the most popular product on the market today, but why not try Amazon and sell physical products rather than products from clickbank.

After rethinking my commenting strategy, I've been able to place a lot more comments this morning. I made 3 sales in two weeks so far, but I'm confident I'll make more in shorter timeframes now. I have to say that I'm surprised though. I've been away all weekend and still found a good 80 unique visitors visited my site per day. obviously I have some good comments already that stuck well on articles that keep being read even though they're a few days old.

There are several examples of how people structure their reviews throughout the thread. Around pages 30-40 Fukien posted how he writes his. Page 30 there is another guy who gave his exact template + many others.

You should bookmark the pages where you see useful information that you can apply later.

I have all my high quality posts for various niches and various situations saved in a word so i just copy and paste.

I think he mentioned he does everything himself. He probably has multiple sites, or a site that covers multiple niches.

To be honest, once my sites start generating consistent money, this is something I'll look into as well. I think if I spend about half my day (4 hours) commenting for two or three niches, and the other half trying to get my other website going (adsense related) I'll eventually hit upon gold.


EDIt: I just hit 70 uniques in the last hour. I think clickbank is slow in updating though. Clickylinks reported 23 banner clicks, but clickbank only found 5 hops? I'll stop checking clickbank through the day and only check at the end of the day or something.

I wouldn't really know where to start. Is it the same with review sites (commenting to attract views etc.), but you're hoping to sell products. Plus I wouldn't know what products to sell, how big, how much to sell for :S

I split tested each product and review for a few days, and found out which review and product converted best. (tracked amount of clicks on my ref link, percentage of conversions from hops, average time spent on site through analytics and bounce rate) Through this I found out which reviews will get me the most over a longer period of time. I have 3 product reviews that worked the best for me(out of 6/7), and I circulate those right now. I circulate so that I can track a little easier how many people come from which days of promotion so I can figure out which commenting strategy works better for short and long term.
Basically, test, test and test. Make sure you find out as much as you can about everything you do.

Finally, the commenting strategy really shouldn't take you all day. A couple of hours per niche tops. When you find out what works, you can work faster.


I should add I'm still in early stages of implementation and don't make that much money yet. But I track everything I do so I can get better and better.

This has been asked a billion times. You can use any site you like and get some results, but most people find that a proper domain works best.

To some extend this is what I'm doing. I have 1 wide-ish niche that I can expand a little bit here and there still. Then I can create more sites/niches. How much are you making right now?

I could join a skype group, but I don't know how much we could really get out of it to be honest. The technique is kinda spoon fed and so long as everyone reads the thread properly there is so much available already.

Yes, you can. Yes it will have some kind of negative effect, but not a big one. Wordpress hosted website looks less trustful than D0t kom (I hope you understand what I'm talking about..). Read the thread, I think it was answered several times man.
