I get massive traffic to my review website with high quality comments relevant to the article that needs to be approved by the mod. Facebook is all spammed out IMO and you will get many people complaining about spam, scam etc. Think nytimes, theguardian, washiontonpost etc.
Yes, lots of people complained about my message as spam, scam etc, really annoying.

So after my first two sales almost a week ago I didn't make any more sales. Not complaining, just been sticking to the method. If it paid off twice, it will eventually pay off more. And the more I link, the more visitors I build permanently.
It would be good for morale to get another sale i the next couple of days though!

Hmm, looking at my analytics stats and traffic went down yesterday, but yesterday I spent more time than ever only posting on news sites and not facebook. Facebook traffic for me, looking at analytics, was way better.
But yesterday I was using a pretty long sales pitch and had my link towards the bottom, and a lot of news sites removed the hyperlink. Going to try dropping the link within the first sentence or two today.

Just curious - how do you know they dropped your post? Do you go back to each and every post you make?? Seems like that would be double the work.

I've been commenting since Monday. I even made a sale on my first day and now nothing (I'm being patient though). I usually comment in the AM - around 9am EST or sometimes in the noon. I was just trying to figure out why I'm not getting any visitors.

It's difficult to know without more info but the reason can be narrowed down to a couple of things
1. You might just have been commenting on low traffic sites/articles
2. Your comments might not be convincing readers to click your link
3. Your comments might be getting denied or still awaiting moderation
Keep in mind, if you keep at it all your comments that stick will bring traffic for a long time to come. These small amounts will add up to a large amount and eventually you might even hit a viral article with a comment
I would just keep plugging away and tweeking your comments. Try to leave long comments with some good info

Thanks! Yea, I'm going to hang in there. I post the same comment on the news sites except the high quality sites. Then I write custom comments for the web results. I still haven't achieved "top commenter" status though. It's hard to because the "similar articles" that you take the comment from, don't use the facebook social plugin. Plus, it seems that every sites using Disqus. I comment on those, but my link is in my user name.

Freddy gives a great tip above on this page about achieving top commentor status. Disqus is tough if you don't want to keep changing accounts and proxies. If you're placing your link in your username be sure to include a call to action such as "check my username for more info" or something like that. Don't just put it there and expect people to visit, you need to draw attention to it

When diet solution program was on cb, I was making $100-$200 a week from commenting on high ranking squidoo lenses.
It was so easy too. All I done was forward a domain to my cb link. Write a comment on how I used to be fat, all the problems I went through like depression ect..Then I'd say a bit about the product and how it helped me lose x amount of weight, list some benefits and put my link in with anchor text like - "This article on the site really shocked me"...Or - "This video really made sense - watch it here"..
The idea like is to make it sound as real as possible..I always include something about the page I'm commenting on, some problems that people face, tell them a little about the product I'm promoting without over selling it and how it helps..
Then squidoo closed its doors and so did the dsp program. Earnings vanished
Trying it on new platforms now though and starting to see some hops..

He said he was using his domain name as profile name on disqus. If you dont drop a link in your comment you wont have a problem commenting on disqus.

Yes, it has been asked and answered:
-You need a fake personal profile.
-Follow pages related to your niche with 100k+ followers.
-You need to be really fast and stay tuned to new activity on those pages.
-When you see a new post comment on that as fast as possible without writing BS (with BS I mean the classic "hey that's cool" comment that doesn't add sh*t).
-People will like the post AND your comment, which in time will snowball, people will like it because previously people liked it (social proof).
-Repeat...
-Profit.
Edit: Didn't see Freddy's comment above, I don't think there would be a better way to know how to use FB comments in your favor.
Also, I want to say something about this method and about SEO. This strategy IS also a SEO method.
But, there is a BIG diference betwen the Meathead way and the "classic" SEO methods. This method is probably one of the few that will work forever.
Why? Because instead of trying to "trick" search engines with all kind of BS and keywords and all other non-sense, it deals directly with the fundamental mechanic of the Internet, a mechanic that will be allways present.

If you know the first starts of the Google engine it was based on backlinks, which evolved into Larry Page's PageRank.
Backlinking will allways be present and that's fine because now you can focus your efforts in useful things.
There is no need to worry about keywords anymore, why?
Because having enough routes directing to your site (traffic using backlinks) will call the attention of the search engines' bots anyway, and they're smart enough to know what's your site about.
You don't need to do "classic" SEO because the search engines do all the work for you, they read and recognize all the relevant words, you just need to build roads leading to your website!
You know that SEO takes a lot of time to make it work, and there's a chance that because of changes in algorithms all that work can go down the toilet.
So this man generously wrote a guide to generate a lot of traffic that, yes you have to invest time to make it work, but so do you with classic SEO and with whatever worthy in life.
And, you have FULL control over it.
You can't change the way Google, Bing or whatever work, but you can find new niches, new forums, new FB pages, new blogs, new ways to comment in a more persuasive way... I think you get the point. You can improve all those things.
I didn't even finished the whole thread but I've already seen a lot of people giving up after a couple days or because they only got XX$.
You really need to put your "working-for-long-term" hat or it won't work, and I'm not talking only about this thread, I'm talking about everything, systems work because PEOPLE make it work, if you're not willing to put effort into it maybe you seriously need to think if business is for you or not.

I'm going to implement this one more time! I failed with registry cleaners as a niche. Apparently, the weight loss niche isn't a good nice, even though my website looks beautiful. I'm going to try the anxiety niche, hopefully that's not frowned upon. But before I do, I'm going to re-read the whole thread one more time, apparently I missed something. I'll keep you all updated. I made one sale, the first day I started, so apparently this works.
