Amazon SES + Sendy (Bulk newsletter)

has anyone tried using amazon AWS SES + Sendy (can't post the link but you can find it very easily) to send bulk newsletters? They say it is 100x cheaper than mailchimp which makes me suspicous too

I have a list of 150k and when I see the price of AWEBER or Mailchimp, it makes me want to find another solution.

It is the cheapest solution
But your list should be permission based double opted in and has less spam rates, bounces, etc.
Then it works
Its best in reality...than all other proividers
Needs an expert to set it up

AWS SES + Sendy is cheaper than others. You can also try mandrill.com instate of AWS.

I'm also planning to use Amazon SES. My daily sending limit is 50K. How strict is SES concerning bounces?

I mean: if I do a bulkmail with 50K recipients and the bounce rate exceeds a certain %-rate, will SES then cut off my bulkmail immediatly? Or will I be able to send those 50K and they will suspend / limit my account afterwards? How quick does SES react on bounce rates and which %-rate is acceptable for SES? what is your experience?

P.S. Offtopic I've cleaned my double-opt list (which is admitedly a bit outdated) with Atomic Mail Verifier but obviously besides some Red Flag "Invalid Mailboxes" (which I have sorted out) Atomic also cannot determine a result for tons of emails (Yellow Flag) :-O If anyone can point me to a solution for this that would be nice.

Amazon SES is good but it's VERY strict unless you have really HQ optin list don't go there.

How quick does SES react on bounce rates (do they block the account immediatly if a certain %rate of bounces is exceeded or will I be able to finish the 50K mailing on that day?)

And which %-rate for bounces is acceptable for SES?
